100% playing Thursday with my best mate Tommy Bingham . I think I predict about 850+ players attending this massive tournament .

Bear in mind a white 20 something tourament player that shipped one event has almost no chance of getting a sponsorship deal. I mean look at Alex, Deadman or Rastafish. These guys have gotten a ton of exposure and no deals are coming their way (afaik).

What do you do when you study for the 2 hours? That sounds like a lot but maybe it isn't if your just watching videos or listening to podcasts.

Nah totally understand that, I make no bones about the fact they'd deserve it more than me. However, and this may be cause for being flamed but personal opinion here...One thing that sites/companies look for is someone who is engaging, media friendly and someone who can warm to the cameras...now im not saying the aforementioned names do not have those qualities, some of them do in abundance...but there is a big difference between being sponsorship materials, and TRYING to be sponsorship material.

My argument would be that in poker as with anything else. You've got to be a lot better to be gifted professional contracts, but if you jump up and down trying to get noticed, sure you polarize people, but you become more noticeable, and it only takes one to have that punt.

If anyone getting sponsorship for warm, friendly , good player , loud , good looking , best Chinese player in the world and etc , I deserved the sponsorship ! Lol

I think I may have cut this hand history at the wrong time, I raised pot, seat 5 jammed for 12.50 & seat 2 called. With no re-draws am I best getting it in on the turn & or flating & reassessing the river?

You still had redraw if u look at your hands correctly . U had 3 K's to the nuts . Get it in . U can't fold

I think DTD is the ONLY club in the world that is trying to make everyone one happy but not everyone are. I like the way the GUARENTEE are inclusive of seats and by the responsed from the turnout , it's a success . Well DTD

What happens when you bust before the first break? Wink
Then I may have to resort to coming down the road and watching you in the cash game having bust both bullets and walked away from the table talking to yourself Wink

Which leg of the deepstack you in for? Saturday?

GL today though mate!

Did Matt like to mumble to himself while walking away from the table ? Ahhhhhhhh, can remember now , I saw it a few times . Not only walking away mumbling but kicking the toilet doors at DTD is one of the highlight! Lol
54  Community Forums / The Lounge / Re: What do we think to 6 years 8 months for uk drug smugglers ? on: December 25, 2013, 11:30:07 PM
I think they are very very lucky only to get around 6 years in a foreign prison . If that incident happened in Singapore , they will be sentence to death by injections or hanging . There's no mercy at all to this drugs smugglers or drug pushers .

I passed through Brunei in transit a couple of times recently. Each time you land they tell you that the penalty for drug-smuggling is death. Bit OTT really, cos even though you know you have nothing it still gives you an unpleasant feeling. It seems a bit late to tell you as well - I'm not sure what you could do about it if you were carrying and you just found out about the death thing when you landed.

I think I would take death over 20 years in a shithole prison.

Singapore have one of the toughest prison in the world! Think they must be in the top 10. Trust me  if u go in there , there's no mercy at all. Rather get death sentence than get 20 rotten years in there .

I had respect for frankie anyway, he always seemed to have a pure heart, and i was obviously in contact with you as this was developing but (rightly so) i didn't know all the details...

Upon reading this, the man is an absolute legend and i pretty much wont hear a bad word against him now...this is just...yeah....wow

Didn't really want to post this until I had the full go ahead from the man himself. I think amongst some in regards to his falling out with Amjad a lot of people think Frankie is the bad guy and disrespectful, the man obviously doesn't deserve that reputation in his poker home.

Cheers mate . Appreciate this so much :-)
