Any alternative cooking method for those of us without a microwave?

You could try wrapping it in clay and leaving it in the embers of the fire overnight.
The rumour when I was a young lad was that was how the local Gypsies cooked Hedgehogs. Not as willing as I was back then to believe this now.

You missed the hedgehog story a few weeks back?
It would seem so.

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=30601.msg2150829#msg2150829

and Hughie's story is here

http://www.lincolnshiretravellerinitiative.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/OBRGL_Book_A4_FINAL_web.pdf

Should change the thread title to Blonde wildlife recipies in my view.

Edit. just reread Hughie's story, hedgehog in clay confirmed bollocks, though maybe we could try wrapping the hedgehog in that porridge?

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Amatay seems to be slow off the mark on this thread

Fabulous with a handful of blackberries.

The trees and hedgerows are bursting with fresh fruit atm and it's free if you don't get caught.

Had a tremendous crop of blackberries this year.

There are plenty in the freezer and the rest have brightened up my neighbours breakfasts as pictured above.

Are you not supposed to pick them any more?
