There were 2126 runners for this, apparently... at least a quarter of the Room is now taken up with cash games, satellites etc. so we're playing Find the Moved Player - it's not surprising that they're just going for it - Isabelle apparently described this tourney as a "zoo."

Blinds are now 100/200 - so those who've failed to get off the starting blocks will be feeling their 1,500 is on the wrong side of chipped.

Not silly - pretty much unheard of in the UK - Alternates are the waiting list if a tourney is already max capacity, getting in when someone busts out.  That time is over, however, and the field is consuming itself at a great pace.

And here's our all-singing all-dancing Scandie friend Sverre - nicely comfortable in chips, and celebrating his cash in the Shootout yesterday.  Another narrow TV miss for the Norwegian.

Yep - you get a level (maybe two) to get in as early players drop...

Potentially too cool to make the 'Grumpy Pro' list, Juha Helppi attacks the frenzy that is the $1,500 tourney.

Film actor James Woods of 'Once Upon A Time In America' and 'Ghosts of Mississippi' fame was throwing a right wobbly earlier on.

He returned from the break to find his chips had been moved to another table. Woods had no idea where to look and spent quite a while trying to find his new seat. Meanwhile, the blinds had passed and Woods had lost a few chips from his already inferior stack - this is what really pissed him off.

Anyhow, he went off on one to the supervisors, f-ing and blinding in the process. Another wsop emplyee behind me simply said "Tough s**t, he was late".  Cheesy Clearly a man of few words.

One more before a chip run:

Padraig Parkinson whom I saw winning his last hand before the break, quiet in comparison to a large percentage of the field...

Clonie Gowan -- 3,600
Chris Moneymaker -- 700
badpab -- 2,000
Sverre Sundbo -- 8,500
Mike Matusow -- 7,150

badpab did have 5k at one point but lost more than half of it being "too agressive"

Just caught Matusow betting 700 into a 5-Q-9 (two clubs) flop - opponents folded.
