After winning 60k+ the other day, Roland De Wolf is in good spirits overall, but not too chuffed about the beat that knocked him back down to his starting stack.

(don't ask, must have been the sidepot)

Snoops can you have a quick look at the 5k stud event when you get a chance and let me know if Bushy is still in and chip count he was on Scotty Nguyens starting table.

Stud $5,000 Event
Just thought I'd bring you a mini photo gallery from the Stud event being played next door (but in the same mammoth hall, of course) to the Hold'em - there's quite a high proportion of big names in this event, as it is one of the smallest fields around this year, being both now a 'niche' game and rather on the expensive side. Here are my first shots - showing the full range of Poker Face, from grumpy Kirill Gerasimov (he's not really, he's rather nice) to grinning Jennifer Harman...

There's 5 or 6 tables lurking at the back too.
Among them is A Mr John Shipley, who final tabled earlier on in the week.
He's currently on 4,400

This is the charasmatic Steve Zoine, who came second to Cloutier in one of last year's bracelet Events.
Cloutier won 600k plus that day, yet, according to Steve, spent 200k of it on the craps... on the same night! EEEEEK!
Anyhow, here he is telling the table an amusing anecdote about a player who managed to strike a deal for a chop (before final cards were dealt) even though he was drawing dead. Now that's pretty impressive deal-making - even Paul Parker would have trouble talking someone into that 1.

Can't seem to find him, which is a bit unusual for Mickey.
I discovered this fellow though, some of you might recognise him.
He's sitting on (not literally of course) a pretty healthy 12,925

Also spotted... Liz Lui, Dave Welch, & TJ Cloutier
The latter of which has just joined the table of Sexton, Lederer, Roberts, Jackson and Chessa

Here's your camera-shy Bushy, who helpfully let me know he's still in, and sitting on 11,000...

$1,500 Day Two
And Bhups is OUT! 57th spot not bad - several thousand and the satisfaction of playing through 2126 entrants... he did exactly what he was planning while on the last break - just moved in his 17k (having looked at one card - a Jack) and found an insta-call to his left, followed by a button re-raise all-in. Oops. Former called with
, latter had busted himself, as it turns out, with
. Bhups' actual hand was AJ - a hand he would have moved with if he'd seen the lot at that stage, but the Aces crushed both of the smaller stacks and he can go and have a nap. Or play cash.
