Not arsed about who's bigger.

One thing that I am certain about though is Leeds have a much bigger fan base. No one gives a flying fuk about Newcastle outside the city (apart from a short period of time when you played some entertaining football under Keegan).

You don't go around the world and EVER see foreign Newcastle fans. Indicators of how much more interest there is for example is the most visited websites for the clubs..Leeds is always in the top 4-5 in this country whatever style, division we play in. Do you know a Newcastle fan who is not from there?

This of course means nothing but for someone to say Newcastle have a bigger fan base needs to get out of Newcastle Smiley

Also people saying Beckford wont play games if he moves to Newcastle is a little strange. You have 4-5 strikers none of which can actually score often.

Ameobi's goal ratio this season is close to 1:1 and he is definitly good enough for this league but not the prem, harewood was starting to get fit and score goals but has gone back now so yeah i would say he will start this season but as i said i'm not sure if he'll be good enough for the prem and i don't see the point in bringing players in for a promotion push when we are sitting comfortably at the top of the league and could just play nolan off shola, anyway enough thread hijacking about newcastle we have our own thread to say we're bigger than leeds Smiley

GL in your promotion push, see you back in the prem in 2012

Just the 2000 people viewing the waccoe thread on Beckford lol.

But if it was a Beckford thread on a Newcastle fora, there would be 4000 viewing it.

lol at not seeing newcastle shirts/fans outside Newcastle.

If Shola/Carroll/Ranger/Lovenkrands were in League 1, they would be doing equally as well, hasn't he already been proven to be out of his depth in the championship when you failed miserably?

I think you are missing the point, if you get Beckford it will be a risk for a number of reasons. He is not proven at that level so you are hoping he scores the amount he does a division below. That is the same for any player moving from the lower leagues up.

We know most of the current Newcastle strikers are not prolific at that level or why would you be after a goalscorer?

Beckford has not failed in the Championship before, unless he was playing under a different name and you know something we dont? He played for Scunthorpe on loan and scored 8 goals in 18 games i believe. I hate defending him but mis-information pisses me off no end.

Yeah sorry, I didnt really know much about your team that got relagated from the championship, I just assumed he was tez and got loaned out to Scunny in League 1. My bad.

Kevin Nolan and Shola have been playing up front most of the season, but with "prolific striker" goalscoring figures.

Just to conclude I think both teams belong in premiership.
