Interesting Rumour:
The Club was sold to Americans around the 12th July.
Since then, thanks to LUFC's complex ownership structure and discussions with Leeds City Council regarding the ownership of the land around Elland Road, the announcement of the takeover has been put off.
Two national newspapers had hold of the story, but an injunction was taken out against them in the name of commercial confidentiality.
Darren Upton of Upton & Co Accountants will replace Shaun Harvey as CEO.
Ken Bates will be kept on as an advisor to the new owners, instructing them on how an English football club should be administered and no doubt retaining his spotlight with the programme notes. The £1.8m payoff suggests that he will forfeit his role as chairman and the advisory role is expected to terminate after one or two years.
The name Daniel Snyder has been touted as the potential new owner. He declared in 2007 that he was actively looking to buy an English club and an American national sports journalist (and Leeds fan) advised him to look into buying LUFC. He is worth $1.3bn and is the owner of the Washington Redskins American Football Club who, by all accounts, he has revolutionised since taking over. Snyder is only speculated, but everybody claiming to be in the know has stated that it is an American/ Americans who have bought LUFC. SUPER LEEDS!

Preston win the first set 6-4.
If Leeds can get an early break in the second they aren't out of this.

Quite simply the most unreal football match ive ever witnessed.
Im not annoyed it was so funny.
At 4-1 up for the first time i stopped thinking about us getting to 50 points and securing our championship status and started wondering about the playoffs. Huge mistake, lol @ me.
Two absolutely terrible teams defensively and pretty decent going forward.
Don't be fooled by this, Preston are gash, look to oppose them in the near future. We are poor too, but i think Preston will finish a little lower in the table.
Jon Parkin got a standing ovation from all 4 corners of the ground when he was subsituted late on. You can keep your Fat Ronaldo at Old Trafford, this sort of thing never happens at Elland Road, but he was absolutely brilliant, ran the show and had 3 chances and finished them all clinically. We made Jon Parkin look like a fat Lionel Messi.
Let me have one excuse though. Higgs is awful. First goal he hands the ball to Parkin on a plate, he lets a goal go in straight from a corner and is nowhere near the others. If Kasper Schmeichel was in net and not injured he would have not let half of those goals in, no chance. But he wasn't so who cares but Higgs is gash still.

Dowie was doing the game for Sky and was almost having orgasms over Adam Barton.
Never seen him play, what did you think?

I wasn't watching the Preston midfielders closely enough to form a constructive opinion i'm sorry to say.
From what i did see of him he played some excellent passes and looked composed on the ball.
Keith Treacy and Jon Parkin were the real stars of the show for them but i guess Barton could have been the one constantly distributing the balls to them.
