if Woodgate stays or is fit and plays most of the season for us it would save us 20 goals from the shower of shit last year.

hmmm, Leeds accepted a bid for Kasper from Leicester.

Guessing we have someone else lined up, rumours are Westwood from Coventry.

Don't know what the fuck is happening tbh, we either offering peanuts when discussing new contracts with players or they are all being greedy. Kasper one year left and the club said is was obvious going to be hard for him to sign extension so best to accept the offer for him. Johnson was offered 18k a week and top earner at club but left. Who decent had recently extended their contract with us?

I am not too optimistic about this, it is showing a distinct lack of ambition by the club or the way they retain their better players, all we need now is gradel to go and it will be tragic.

yeah, not sure whats happening tbh.

More rumours today about Bowyer, Woody and Smith, but we'll see.

Not looking like Westwood, just read hes signing for Sunderland. Havent they got enough keepers? Gordon and Mingolet both decent.

Quite odd?

We were rumoured to be getting Westwood, for £1m Kasper should be a cracking buy, no?

The Foxes have been linked with the Dane since the end of the season as Sven-Goran Eriksson looks for a new number one at the Walkers Stadium.

The fee is thought to be £1 million and with only one year left on Schmeichel’s contract with the Whites, Leeds have accepted the bid.

Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the official Leeds site: “We feel this is the right deal for the club.

“We spoke to Kasper’s agent at the end of the season about a contract extension and it was apparent that it was going to be difficult to agree a deal.

“Give the fact he has one year remaining on his contract we feel this is in the best interests of Leeds United.”

Eriksson knows the 24-year-old stopper well from his time as manager of Manchester City and also took him to Notts County while he was Director of Football at Meadow Lane.

I am putting out this statement now, but let me be clear that I have not signed with any other club, and as far as I am concerned I am still a Leeds United player.

Statement.
At the end of the season Leeds United and I both made a commitment to honour the last year of my contract and try to win promotion with Leeds United.
Therefore it is with great disappointment that I have learned that Leeds United have accepted an offer from Leicester.
I want to put on record that I have never asked to leave the Leeds United, nor did I reject an offer for a new contract, since one was never put to me.
I was enjoying being a Leeds United player and was looking forward to winning promotion this season with the club.
I have spoken to the manager Simon Grayson and he has made it clear to me, that, in spite of having played well for him, this is something he believes is a good deal for Leeds United.
I have been put in a very difficult situation and will spend some time considering my options for my future.
