Your new chip leader is Mick Fletcher, who has amassed a massive 167,000

Meanwhile, the shortest stack is John Hewston with just 6,500

The short stacks have been surviving, as in the case of microstacked Paul Hatton with his defeating the valiant , and much more than that, trebling up - like Paul King.

Brian Medley raised to 8k preflop, got a call from Mick Fletcher, and Paul with just 11k on the small blind made the push.  Two callers, unsurprisingly. At this point Tikay says, "You could treble up!" and Paul replies, "I will."
Flop:    Brian checks, and Mick bets him off it with 13,000 and .  This must have delighted Paul with his - a treble up indeed.
"See Tikay - I'm winning this now."

Paul Hatten has doubled up after moving all-in for 19k with A-Q

Fletcher paid him off from the cut-off with A-J

Mark Raymer is down to 500 after losing an A-9 vs A-A encounter to Paul King.

Mick Fletcher has increased his chip lead by eliminating both Mark Raymer and Bernard Litman.

The fact that he had Pocket Rockets helped somewhat.

Raymer, who only had 500 and A-6, and Litman (8-8) failed to improve on a T-J-9-K-5 flop, although for a moment it looked as though someone had made a straight somewhere.

And whilst we wait for the reshuffle to make room for the £100 D-C F/O, I managed to grab the chip-counts for Table Iqbal.

Iqbal -- 108k
Herbert -- 83k
Ashworth -- 55.5k
Douglas -- 22k
Huckley -- 69k
Mulla -- 61k

A saver for 11th and 10th has been agreed - £1,000 so they don't go home losers...

P.S. Thanks Noflops - that coupon will come in very handy indeed.

And Tikay knocks out Paul Hatton in 11th place (good for him they've just done a saver for £1,000 for 11th and 10th place...)

It folds to Tikay on the small blind, who raises to 5,000.  Paul re-raises another 12,000 from the big blind - Tikay calls (suspicious or WHAT?)
Flop:     Check from Tikay and an all-in; called by Tikay with the
Paul Hatton's was in bad shape, and stayed that way.... and the Grandfather is up to 86,000.

The ever-organised Snoopy has your mugshots of the final tablists, but he's watching Womble go all-in blind every hand with a kind of grim fascination right now, so here's the chip position:

1  Glenn Ashworth   49,500
2  Richard Herbert    90,000
3  Brian Medley        30,500
4  Mick Fletcher      250,000
5  Tikay                  86,000
6  Andrew Douglas   12,000
7  Iqbal Patel          120,000
9  Paul King            30,000
10 John Hockle       63,000

And the bubbler was very short stacked Andrew Douglas - who went out when our backs were turned, fiddling with the darned Vodafone cards.  Again.  Another falls to Mr. Kendall....

And our 9th place finisher is Glenn Ashworth, winning £2,000

He was a tad unlucky to run his into Reyaaz Mulla's - which happened to hit the Ace, prompting an "Aaaah" from the final - while Mulla could be heard muttering "I am playing to win the thing, not just hang on..." or some such.

Down to eight, and a most uneven chip spread there is...
