Cheating - is this possible?
«

I'm very sceptical about possible cheating in live play, so I did search on t'internet.
http://cardshark.us/shop_frs.shtml
Is this stuff a gimmick or could someone use it? If it works do we need to ban the use of sunglasses?
I'm pretty naive about this sort of stuff, i there anything else I need to watch for?

Depending on the gullibility of your opponents almost anything is possible.

no, this is because the concept of cheating at poker doesn't appeal to people.
Where are you going to use these tables for example, at home with your mates? you wouldn't do it to them would you?
so would you find them at somewhere like the gutshot club or bigslick, NO!!!!
so where are they going to be used?
The site is a joke!!! hence youve recieved few responses

I've heard of the daub/sunglasses thing in books only.
No anecdotal knowledge of it going on in the UK.
That either means it doesn't happen, or the people who do it are very good at it.

Marking cards has been around for years, hense the old style green visor of dealers and the coloured card-mucks in casinos, these were used so the honest people could see if the cards were being 'dubbed' with paint/powder not visable to the naked eye.
I dont think, being an ex-croupier myself, that it's being done anymore as if you ARE caught, you're just about half way to prison.
Dont worry, you can sleep safe in your bed knowing the cards are fair.

Sorry to jump in like this. I am Mr. Pink, from CARDSHARK Online, the site discussed in this thread. I found this thread while I was checking my site stats, to see where the hits are coming from.
I will try to address some of your questions.
First of all, yes, there is cheating in poker, and other card games. I personally play cards several times per week, and I always cheat to get the money. However, I hardly ever use any of the products that I sell in my online store. I have been doing this for long enough to know how to handle the deck, your deck, during your deals, and/or during my deals. It really doesn't matter who shuffles, cuts, or deals, I have a system for every situation. The techniques that I use are virtually undetectable, as it is all over before anyone has time to realize anything had happened, and there is no evidence on me.
Bottom line, I don't gamble. I just play for the money, and at the end of the game I am one of the guys that takes some of the money home.
Before you call me a bastard, I am going to briefly mention that I do have my own set of standards for ranking suckers. If you are a good guy, honest and straight, you have nothing to worry about. In fact, you may be lucky to have me in your game because not only will I keep you out of harm's way, I will even make sure you get to be one of those who will take some money home. But if you are a jerk, if you have a loud mouth, or if you are unpleasant in any other way, you will have to borrow a couple of bucks at the end of the night, so you can take a bus home. Fortunately, there is no lack of jerks in the world.
Enough about that.
I have clients all over the world who buy my products. I can't say any names, but there is at least one (now) famous poker player that uses my products. What? Did you think that all those guys on TV win it on the square? C'mon, guys!
The Black Predator glasses work as described on my site. However, there is a lot of misinformation about those kind of products, so people don't really have realistic expectations. This is actually a good thing for those who use these types of gaffs because the suckers never really know what the real stuff looks like. There are many types of luminous systems out there. I've tested them all (systems sold in the US, Europe, Asia...) and I have to say that none of them use the technology that the Black Predators use.
The X-ray table is also an exclusive product that no one else sells. Clients that buy that table are not the type of guys that host low-stakes games in their garages. My last client that bough this table runs a crooked cardroom in Cairo. The one before that used it to take down some rich basketball players somewhere in the US. I have clients in Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and some other places.
Cheating in poker is more common than most people realize. I recently caught a cheat in a private game. He switched his cards on me. I saw him do it, but I still called his raise just to see what he had. In other words I paid for the information. It turns out he had aces, and there was an ace on the flop. What had really happened was that he had been waiting for the moment when an ace would show up on the board, so he could switch his hand for the two aces he was holding out. Anyway, I let him have that pot, then I re-bought enough chips to take him down in one hand and waited for my opportunity. Within less than 15 minutes I had him on a double duke. That is when I set up the deck for him to get a bad beat. I don't really want to describe the exact hands because he may also find this thread by chance; and I like to keep a low profile.
So, to recap... Yes, the stuff I sell works. Yes, the stuff I sell is actually used in games out there. But, no, you don't need any of that stuff to take down the games.
