Ian Woodley has just doubled up courtesy of a very polite MB who calmly said 'nh', before running off for a good cry in the toilets.

Flop = Two Diamonds

Woodley bets, MB calls.

Turn =

MB bets, Woodley makes it 6k, MB moves all-in, Woodley calls for his last 3k.

A-A vs 9-9

A blank on the River and Woodley is up to 25k.

Chip leader Les Kerrigan (40-45k) and the shiny head of Peter Smyth.

Jonny 'Texas' Hewston disappeared a little ways before we made our breathless arrival - now Jon brings us some rather startling news: it appears that in Texas' final hand, he wasn't actually cleaned out of chips, but got up and walked off before seeing that he still had 1,000...that little stack has now been blinded off.

Many thanks to David Lloyd who identified the 'end of level' music as deriving from 80's electronica band, Yello.

Baam Baam wrrrrr

I'm sure you would have got it from my rendition.

Which leads me on to a little Interactivity Quiz - of the following players, not to be found at the poker tables, who are Lurkers (yet to play), who are shirkers (didn't get in the tournament) and who are simply OUT?

Marc Goodwin
Bad Girl
Steve Vladar
Ross Boatman
Willie Tann
Henning Granstad
Sverre Sundbo

Lurkers:
Willie Tann
Sverre Sundbo

Shirkers:
Bad Girl
Steve Vladar  (who both tried the last satellite to get in but no joy - a mix up with William Hills - they're bought in for Baden though...)
Henning Granstad (plus his entire 11-strong team of Eurolinx players whose buy-in got bounced leaving them without seats)

OUT:
Marc Goodwin
Ross Boatman

Quotes:

Ben Grundy - "I'm on about several thousand, but have a pretty bad table with Hollink to my immediate left. He's attacking the tight players around the back and keeps re-raising my raises. To call him means committing most of my chips, so I have to keep folding to him. At the moment, I'm only playing when I get a hand."

Woodley - (talking about his double up) "I knew if he flat-called my bet that a f***ing heart would hit the Turn, but I wasn't f***ing folding, no way."

Tony Chessa - "This is crazy table, poor standard not crazy cards. I'm playing the tightest poker of my life."

Bar Update:

Chubbs Nowab has polished off a few bottles of champers already. He plays tomorrow.
Dave Penly is also boozing.
Lots of other people are also drinking.
Steve and Bad Girl Vladar are raising money for MacMillan Cancer Research and have reported great generosity from the majority of players, particularly from those who are drinking heavily.

Beer counts to follow shortly...

message from Nottingham Nick to the Mrs, Maid M.

"I'm on 18,625. I love you dearly and can't wait to see you again"

He begged me not to do the ol' cut n paste job that I usually do with my love messages, then again, he did say make sure she thinks it's directed at her rather than Barney. Oops.

Foxy was eliminated by Ivey, who is now on 29,125.

However, Phil was merely sweeping up the pieces left by a young Spanish lady who gave Foxy a right rub down.

With the blinds at 200/400, she moved all-in for 6k preflop with Tens, only to run into Foxy's Pocket Rockets.

As a third Ten hit the board, she leapt out of her chair and started 'yeah-ing' right in front of Stuart.
