The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

That Glenne's a cheeky monkey...

Gregory raised preflop, Ivey folded from the small blind and Glenne called from the Big.

Glenne then check-raises Gregory all-in on an A-K-Q flop and shows Pocket Aces.

why?  leading out looks weaker than checking since you'd normally raise an ace on the button

I don't want to be having to pick of a big move with A3....

I would rather control the pot size, and the size of the move by checking the flop and only allowing Ivey 2 steets.

I think you have to bet with the blinds in. Allowing a Turn to fall with two other players in (who could have any 2 cards) seems unnecessarily risky to me.

Your playing Phil Ivey! You have to take risks to beat him.

Ok, you're on! I'd have to be in Bergen, Norway though, a bit of a travel for you, but the price of a beer is about the same as the plane ride over.

If you can't come over, it has to wait until EPT Dublin, where it'll be ME on the final table with Ivey :-p

After Phil took a hammering that level, the chips are a most uneven:

555,000 Dave Gregory
386,000 Phil Ivey
BE Glenne  3,900,000

Just as I was returning with some tussling-type hands, there was a big cheer.  That can mean only one thing - - we're heads up!

Dave Gregory finishes in 3rd place, winning €184,300

Bjorn raises to 120k on the button, while Dave moves in from the small blind with K 10.
Bjorn Erik shows:  A 5

Flop:  5 K 7
Turn: 5
The river was inconsequential.

This final has been anything but slow and boring, a treat to update.

Some toilet talk from Phil Ivey.

(I always fake a wee when I need a scoop)

Phil's American friend (whilst urinating) -- "Boy, that guy sure got confident when he hit the 2 million mark"

Phil Ivey (whilst excreting): "Yeah, that hand I was bluffing the whole way, changed the whole complexion of the game"

Phil's American firend: "What do you think of that snoops character?"

Phil Ivey: "Yo mofo, what a dude that dawg is! I wouldn't want to meet that Beagle at the final table, he'd wipe the mofoing floor with me."

Damn skippy!

(okay, I made the last 2 lines up, but the first two are true, honest guv!)
