Richard Hammond rolled a rocket powered car at 300 mph when one of three parachutes failed to open in Yorkshire today. Airlifted to hospital where he is said to be "critical"
Filiming for Top Gear
Horrible news, seems like a lovely guy.
Thoughts with him and his young family.

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.

That's bad news, hopefully he'll pull through. He's a great character. Great on Top Gear and Brainiac.

Said to be "stable"
That sounds much more promising than critical. I am occasionally "forced" to watch Top Gear by my 18yr old son and have to admit to having a bit of a granny crush on him. Hope he pulls through okay.

Dear lord, i too have watched him on the box and fully related to his style of presenting and his apparent zest for life.
Hope he pulls through.

I am starting a 14 day celebration of fruit and vege. Kind of like Jamie Oliver, hopefully by showing the vast range of fruit and vege available, we can help poker players who sit at the table for many hours eat more healthily. Each day the avatar will change to a new fruit or vege.

I just read in one of the news reports he spoke to the rescue crew. Surely this has to be a positive thing.
