Frode Fagerli, short stacked for at least two hours, seems to have gone into multipush mode - just picked up 1,200x2 uncontested, increasing his chips to 5,000 in the process.

I reckon the quick fall in players will soon stall, as the chips consolidate and they find themselves with plenty of play for the blind level coming next.  That's going to make day Two (day after tomorrow) a very long haul...

I'm not sure if Jen's told you this one, but Nick Slade received a slowroll earlier on.

The board read K-T-Q-x-x, Nick bet the river blind with his trip tens, only for his opponent to take an absolute age in calling just 1,500 with J-9, laughing as he revealed his hand.

Nick started the thread earlier on about high fiving and whatnot, but the slowroll has to be a pet hate of mine. I'd love to see it punished somehow, but it would be way too tricky to implement.

Speaking of Nick Slade, he just received a text from B4matt simply saying "Nice hat".

Apologies Matt, but I had to tell him why. He didn't seem too surprised though, even saying that when he was younger, his mates used to call him Dick Slade... Private Eye.  Cheesy

Johnny Jensen is one of your latest chip leaders with a pretty chunky 60,900.

The table that has all the cameras on it is, non-surprisingly, Johnny Lodden's, currently hosting Henning Granstad, Claus Nielsen, Steve Vladar and Maximilianos Trigas.

Actually, yes - he was down to a bowl of rice 3,600.  On the small blind.  Button Frode Fagerli says before he looks at his cards, "If I have Nine high, I'm all in..." then looks and passes.  The coast is clear for him to push on big blind John Persson....and push he does - call.
Daniel shows:  two spades
John shows:
Flop:    ("Ooh, that's good," quietly remarks Daniel)
Turn:
River:

And he's doubled up in the last 45 mins of play...

He actually 'put on' his glasses to do our interview, which seemed a little peculiar...

Not Steve any more - he's just gone out, to someone with a definite English accent...will find out who it is.

El Blondie - currently on a meagre 6,175... You never know though, Climber of the Day is still up for grabs...

After being around 6k only moments ago, Dave has now worked his way up to a much more playable 26,075.

Not one big hand, just a series of big starting hands.

"I haven't found a hand all night, and then, all of a sudden, 4 or 5 big hands in a row. First I won an all-in with Jacks v Fours, then I took the blinds with A-Q. After that, I re-raised a raise with Kings and added some more to my stack before finally eliminating a player with Ace King versus Ace Nine".
