IDDQD was infinte life

IDKFA gave all the keys and ammo.

10 years of school, University, Work and Poker. 10 years of books, films, TV and ladies bottoms.

How the hell do I still remember IDKFA and IDDQD? I must have played that game a lot.

I still remember the cheats from Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.

'thereisnotry' was the one for skipping a level.

I'm still waiting for Duke Nukem Forever and Stalker: Shadow of Chenoybl (the latter meant to be out in March and possibly could be even better than the Half-Life games)

Half Life = Aaaaaaaaargh! Brings back bad memories of valve hammer editor and milkshake. It was the bane of my life for too long, I had to create a fully working map from scratch without using any existing textures  I looked like a bit of a loony walking around taking close ups of flooring, walls, light switches etc... Creating realistic water effects was a pain in the ar$e!

Pretty cool once it was finished, having a full level that was one of the Uni buildings and blowing up the game design lecturer repeatedly (I think he fully deserved it after the hell he put us through lol) was most satisfying  BUT, I never want to see the game again....

Never realised before quite how scary Bob could be.

I could never get past the stone boat in Myst, though. Infuriating damn game.

bought the game the other day its ok but full of bugs and very easy

i got 99.6%  of the vote once and ran the government for 12 elections in a row

personally i think the interface would be better if we input the price of taxes for and individual rather than setting an amount you want to raise

also the road building policy doesnt work it doesnt effect the budget or the motorists or the enviorment or nothing

also the population of the county is 60 million yet they only have 2.2 million
i had smokers down to nearly nothing basically nothing more than a fringe but i kept getting spie warnings about them
also i had comunteers at full green extremely happy but they were throwing eggs

could be a good game if they spent some time touching it up

I have just spent the last 4 days playing Stalker: Shadow of Chenobyl and I can tell you it is incredible.

It's reminiscent of the truly great games (like Half-Life 2 and Deus Ex) in that you get totally immersed in the environment. Even though it is technically a FPS it's not a relentless gunfest, as it takes place over quite a large area wth no vehicles, so you have to walk/run everywhere, so you really get absorbed into the landscape.

If you are in any way interested in FPS then go and get it now. You will need to download a patch first as it's unplayable out of the box (and I mean that literally - about 1 frame per second on my machine, yet totally fine once patched).

Deus Ex is still the finest first person style game I've ever played, and one of the few games I'm tempted (at various times) to replay.

It's the story that hooked me, genuinely intelligent stuff.

Half Life was good, but I really liked what Deus Ex did with the character-customization.

IW is summed up by the fact that it's last level is the same as Deus Ex's first level, albeit HALF the size. And the one type of ammo fitting all guns...

Bioshock and Hellgate: London are the heirs to Deus Ex that I'm looking most forward to.
