Cause it held so much promise when they were building it, and yet in the end (and certainly in the casino itself) it's cheap and tacky and nasty, and feels like you are in a large warehouse rather than a nice Vegas casino.

ok- so I got here late - can I just add :
The UK weather
Diesel spills
Travel Agents (you need to change the name on the ticket ? That'll be 50 quid, each way, plus service charge - and we don't print the tickets so just turn up and give them your booking ref)
The AA (Call center, the engineers are pretty decent)
oh yeah - and people sitting down with $40 in a 1/2NL game..

Fair enough - I thought it's good value for a room and in a good location though. Even the buffet's ok. The cardroom's a little noisy and I didn't like their tourney much. I don't really do other gambooling in Vegas (or anywhere).

The Buffet is very good there, almost up there with the B's
Perhaps it will improve when Planet Hollywood get their stuff sorted.
The card room is so noisy cause the casino is just like a big warehouse.
I haven't played in the card room, but I hear the tourneys there are a bit of a crapshoot - not as much as say the Luxor's, but still a bit of a fling and see race.
Bottom line is.. why be there, when you can saunter over to the B and see how it all should be done

Haven't had time to read the whole thread, but my first two picks would be NTL and Party Poker.
NTL must be the most utterly useless company I've ever had dealings with. In fact I'm getting wound up just thinking about them now!

It's late, I'm shattered, I need to go to bed, I just have to jot down a couple of notes, I need a biro, I can't find one, I eventually unearth one, but it's one of those ones that half works, it works when I scribble on the side, but not when I try to write with it. GRR!
So, I am putting 'pens that half work' into Room 101.
Goodnight.

All the Hype surrounding things that are not really that important. i.e. Casino Royal, X factor, Tom Cruse wedding, Celebrities in the jungle etc.
Bulletins about these "events" on every news programme for days on end. AARRGGGHHHH!!!!!
