Get in! Nice 6 wicket win
Next week is huge match but I fancy my chances, if I win then I'm long odds on to stay up with a reasonable chance of finishing 5th

Total (40.5 overs, 10 wickets) 191
got above my expected score
like to think on the last game of the season i might be able to pull off a shock win over this team
although if i get a play off place i might need to TIE again

Finally
And that's the end of the match. Jellystone Parkers won by 19 runs.
A win to take me to 4th in the table.
4 wins and 3 losses at the midway point.
Just have to get a Blonde Cup team together now.

Just completed my win, by 25 runs - makes 5 wins out of 7 so I'm happy.
Batting is a bit of a concern, by my plans are in place there just have to wait for them to come to fruition now!
Sunday could be hard work though!

I'm only 2 from 7 which is roughly what I expected before the start of the season. However I'm hoping for at least 3 wins in second half of the season. I have no hope of anything from 3 of my games but the other 4 are winnable.

As we're at the halfway point in the leagues I thought it'd be a nice idea to get everyone's verdict on their own league to date. We all comment on our games each week but it occured to me that I don't really know how well your seasons are going, so I thought this might be a good idea for 'sweat purposes' as we go into the second half.
So, post your league table up here and give us a quick commentary on how its going...
League: V.167
Team Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1. One Team....One... 7 6 0 1 24 12.72
2. Propsteam XI 7 6 0 1 24 9.98
3. Moussen Goosen 7 6 0 1 24 4.35
4. Stumblers 7 4 0 3 16 5.45
5. Rothley CCC 7 3 0 4 12 1.69
6. SheriffsStars 7 2 0 5 8 -4.91
7. Isabel 7 1 0 6 4 -9.10
8. The Soho Pimps 7 0 0 7 0 -20.19
My league was always going to be a 3 horse race for the relegation spots. Of the bottom 3 teams, of which I'm one, none of us have taken a point of any other team in the league, and are unlikely to do so as they're much, much stronger. Fortunately, I'm top of our little mini-league of 3 so far, meaning that I'd be facing the play-off game rather than automatic relegation.
The Soho Pimps are the team I played today and look to be cannon fodder for everyone. Between Isabel and me things are much tighter and my return game against them is the key one I have left. If I win it, I'm pretty much assured of 6th place. If I lose, it'll likely come down to run rate for 6th and 7th. The other 6 games are fairly certain to result in 1 win and 5 defeats which means they're easy to set tactics for.
So, my aim is unchanged from the start of the season - 6th place and a favourable play-off game.
As for the top, I think Moussen Goussen are the strongest team (they have Gilroy, who is virtually impossible to dismiss once he's at the crease), but the top 5 might as well be in a different league to the bottom 3 anyway, so its largely an irrelevance.
Look forward to reading the other reviews....

Nice 217 run victory bringing half way of season to 6 out of 7 wins. bit worried Nakor up nx a very underestimated team in my opinion. Blondes looking good in tis league. On to sundays game with staples wholesale chandes called for i think
Great win as ever Ram and thanks for your kind words.
However dilemma time - must win game Sunday for the Blonde league and then you next week, and with the Ginger Giants snapping at my heels I still need more points - decisions decisions.
And as of next finance update I will have a positive bank balance - at last.

League: V.113
Team Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1. Weezies 7 7 0 0 28 24.73
2. Bloody Blokes 7 6 0 1 24 3.70
3. Goff's Greats part deux! 7 5 0 2 20 8.92
4. Jellystone Parkers 7 4 0 3 16 -0.77
5. danielcc 7 3 0 4 12 2.80
6. nw10 kids 7 2 0 5 8 -4.49
7. Vernon Carus 7 1 0 6 4 -18.06
8. new villa 7 0 0 7 0 -16.83
Vernon Carus and New Villa both got new managers about 3 weeks ago, and look likely to finish where they are. NW10 kids and Danielcc were the ones i knew I had to fight against to do anything in the league. They both seem to have a couple of better players than me but I feel my team is quite strong compared to them.
As for the top 3. They have several quality players each, but Weezies definately deserve their spot at the top, with 4 batsmen in the top 5 Averages. They were the relegated team from the season before.
If the second half goes as well as the first half i'll be happy enough. If I could get myself a positive RR I'd feel much happier

Life in V.205 is pretty sweet:
Team Pld W T L Pts Net RR
1. Lukes Stormers 7 7 0 0 28 11.02
2. Lathams XI 7 6 0 1 24 10.25
3. Bigglesthwaite CC 7 5 0 2 20 3.27
4. The Space Cadets 7 3 1 3 14 -2.30
5. Normanton Harriers 7 3 1 3 14 -5.29
6. Viper Sharks 7 2 0 5 8 -1.09
7. Class XI 7 1 0 6 4 -11.89
8. Fishburn Wlidebeests 7 0 0 7 0 -3.97
Currently have 5 wins out of 7, with losses (on TIE) to first and second place. I might be able to give them a game if conditions suit me - will see what happens in the return game.
Viper Sharks (who were the team relegated from IV) was a close game, me winning by just 4 runs - made a couple of tactical errors there, so I hope to make the return leg a little easier on my nerves!
Normanton Harriers was a close game, but I won comfortably due to a considered pitch choice and a well time GFI, again the return leg could be different - especially as they have choice of pitch.
Nothing too interesting about the league, I expect the top 2 to stay where they are, with a small chance of Lathams beating Lukes Stormers to top spot. Middle 3 will be unchanged, I hope to keep myself in 3rd and then 4th and 5th are likely to be decided in their match against each other (a tie in the first round of games). Bottom 3, can't see much change.
If your league is that strong Sheriff you could consider going down - will give you an easier season allowing you to get some fans in the ground and build your team a bit for a new shot at Div5 - you might get an easy one next time too!

League: V.51
Team Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1. Va Va Voom 7 7 0 0 28 26.08
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Blackhall CC 7 6 0 1 24 12.57
3. Begbies all stars 7 5 0 2 20 11.44
4. Kent Hawks 7 4 0 3 16 4.08

5. Bat2Ball 7 2 0 5 8 -3.56
6. Ironshire 7 2 0 5 8 -13.98
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. teambenjamin 7 2 0 5 8 -15.84
8. Walkershire 7 0 0 7 0 -20.79
walkershire is a bot team althought teambenjamin only managed a 10 run win against them today
but its anyone from 3 for the 2nd relegation spot bat2ball is the strongest out of the 3 of us
but i managed to pull of a win against them
i have teambenjamin next week and on paper he is stronger than me so i will need to get lucky
if i can beat the bot and then win any 1 one other game i should be safe
