Certainly it looks like dual promotion came way too soon for Athletico Foxy so realistically now I'm going to just spend the next three months preparing for the following season!
or spend next 6 months preparing for your next double promotion into league V

wow no thread about the OD matches today

Everyone too depressed??

My lot won, and dropped down the table. Beat on paper, a more balanced all round side ( he did however rest ALL his stars lol)

344-5 for my lot, rapid century for an opener, and all bar 1 contributed at speed ( and he hit 60!)

In reply, had them 180-9 when they put on 74 for the last wicket grrrrrrrrrrr

Still 3rd in OD and 5th in FC is better than I expected at this stage of the season!

Forgot to put my orders in for todays game. my bowlers were put as batters and vice versa. good news was i won by 9 wicks with 9 overs to spare, and my new signing got an unbeaten century. Bad news was all my players that needed resting were picked. So will prob miss the next couple of weeks. And i went down a place in the league.

Great result for Athletico Foxy yesterday as they beat a superior team who didn't appear to be resting anyone!

Stamina proved important I think, as opponents were well placed at 210-3 off 43 especially as I feared chasing anything above 260.

They were still looking good at 242-4 with three overs left but incredibly that's all they ended up with as six wickets fell in seven balls!

Solid batting all round saw the target reached for the loss of just two wickets meaning I'm hanging onto third place for now.

Amazingly, considering my squad isn't that strong, I reckon I'm in the mix to finish 4th and therefore avoid relegation without even the need for a playoff.    Shocked

Forgive the shameless chirp but had to share this over with you all!  Grin

Opponents were 242-4 going into this over............

47.1 W Mcleod to Wrigley
Movement from the pitch has seen Wrigley bowled, that ball looked fairly innocuous at first.
47.2 W Mcleod to Staff
That's an absolute peach of a delivery, finds the edge, and Hutchison takes it at the second attempt.
47.3 W Mcleod to Cawson
The ball shapes away from Cawson and he ends up guiding it into the grateful hands of first slip.
47.4 W Mcleod to Croombes
Clearly missing off stump and leg stump... but not middle!
47.5 . Mcleod to Fortune
Mcleod sends it down the Corridor of Uncertainty. Fortune wafts uncertainly.
47.6 W Mcleod to Fortune
The ball keeps low and shoots into middle stump, Fortune glares at the pitch and he trudges back to the pavilion.

Got a probable relegation decider in the FC this week.

I'm 5th playing 4th away. We have fairly similar squads, though I have a better "best" player. Am playing a semi/strong line up as I have a BOT on Friday in OD. Next week I'm playing 2nd in FC, and 1st in OD so this week looks a fairly good one to play a stronger team!

Just 1 solitary cons pop today on my prof/prof all rounder. got 4 stamina pops and 4 secondary pops, by then he'd have had 2/3 primary pops, and he'll be a stunning 18/19 yo

I had a fielding pop on Clarke and consistency pop on Foot. Things are still ticking along nicely!

my only decent batsmen popped to prof batting.
One of my 17 year olds secondaries popped too.
Getting rid of my 18 year old all rounder, hasn't popped once yet this season

Nothing magically about pops, they take a set time (according to age), so he's probably closer to popping now!
