 Interesting one from yesterday!....

Heads up, I river a 10 to give me an ace high straight....thinking I'm well ahead I just put in a relatively small bet.

He dwells for ages and then calls.

I say  "straight"....and he says "you win".

He then turns over his cards to show a full house.....BUT doesnt realise until the table points it out !!!

.....lucky for me really..... I would have called an all in bet and would have been out!

Yes.  Delayed probably by the same amount of time as yesterday.  People are still trickling in, and those unfamiliar with the M6 may yet give the waiting list hopefuls a chance to sneak in at the last minute.

Howdy, folks. Took Jen and I 70 minutes to get here when normally it's a 30 min max jobby, so the delayed start is inevitable.

Let's hope that they give people a chance to get here, especially with the 'be in your seat for the first hand or else...' rule.

The reserves are drooling with anticipation.

Well, they're sensibly making an accommodating compromise for the 30 or so players who haven't got here yet (while the reserves are poised to jump in the empty seats).  15 minutes til start, then.  I'll go get some photos or something.

Saw Flushy earlier looking at the TV screens, where they have the players listed as 171 but the blinds haven't been reset from their 600/1,200 level from yesterday.  He was rubbing his hands together, saying, "Grosvenor have finally listened to my points for improvement - starting the blinds at 6/12 so you skip all that deepstack rubbish and go straight to the pushing bit.  I love it."

We'll have a final number on entries when they do eventually start, but it looks like the whole Bluesquare GUKPT tour is already a sell-out monster (4 days now at each location).

Also here is Norwegian blogger BA Kildalen, often mistaken for being American and a few crackers short of a barrel, but he's much smarter than he looks and so my picks are:

Praz Bansi
JP Kelly
BA Kildalen
Ash Hussain

Just to clarify Ian Nelson manhandled cardroom supervisor not dealer and yes that would have been me. He has since apoplogized which i am fine with and i too hope its not a nationwide ban as i know Ian and also am aware that this incident was totally out of character.
as for picks i guess im not supposed to be biased but watch out for local guy Steve Holden

Introducing Simon 'The Bubble' Zach (who came 2nd at last week's Broadway Festival) and Mr Womble himself, Stephen Walmsley... also known as the "laughing policemen judging by that photo" according to Simon.

And finally, so Mad Turk can prove to his son that he knows a former Eastenders star, here's Mr Eminoglu with the Greco meister. Although, of course, I could have simply photoshopped.
