While all this is going on, the perfectly gentlemanly William Chen is busy participating in the PokerStars battleships comp that has been going on throughout the week. Lee Jones seems to be running the comp and, if for some bizarre reason, people wish to follow the action (if you can call it that  ), onlookers can keep up to date by watching the big screen at the back.

Thanks so much for the Michael Martin update......he is, in fact, the one with the headphones. It was exciting to hear that he's in good shape.   Any other updates would be appreciated.  You guys are really doing a fantastic job.

that lad from Preston busted in level 9, raising to 2,700 with Carlos Mortensen re-poped him 10k with As and was met with the push for another 15k. After a short pause the affable Spaniard called, no drama as he hit his ace on the flop.

Do you have a chipcount for The Camel, or le chameau as he may be known in MC please ?

From the photos before it looked like around 50/60k I reckon..

I believe Vicky is out, Michael Muecklish only had 6k on returning (but I'll check his seat anyway) and I've forgotten who Tommy is...

Phil Helmuth is OUT, Kings against Aces, with an extra bullet on the flop (which had flush potential for Hellmuth) for good measure.

Aces were held by Dean Sanders (now on over 100k).

i thought tommy must of been well know as he was the only one on the day 1 list without a surname

i now micheal only had 6k but it was 10x the bb and i fancied his chances of a couple of double ups

I believe Snoopy and I hold one of several competing claims to have invented this style of play as spectator sport...at the Vienna EWSOP last year (or was it two years ago - it's all such a blur) we had our laptops back to back playing heads up while various people watched and laughed at either side.  We believed we'd invented the ultimate way for lazy people to play heads up, but I think many similarly lazy players have come up with this as an alternative to those pesky shuffle-requiring cards...

Anyway so far on this trip our team (in the form of NoflopsHomer) has beaten the Norwegians (in the form of BA Kildalen) and we're inclined to just leave it at that...

I reckon you picked those low stacks to maintain your impressive bokking average....

Dapper Mobster Joe Beevers is pictured here, asking after friends Ross Boatman and Ram Vaswani... missed out Ross but Ram has 88k, just in front of Joe's neatly-stacked 72k.
