The going is likely to be good, they have been watering every day to ensure this.

ive decided to go for Point Barrow as my out and out winner , Billyvoddan as my flutter , and Le Duc as my outsider.

might stick a couple of quid on the others as well , do these picks look good to anyone else or am i missing something ?

also , are the odds likely to change for better or worse closer to the race tomorrow ?

Just a couple of dabbles for me:

Royal Auclair, an old favourite of mine @ 42, and Kandjar D'allier, because Choc is bang in form @ 180.

just watched th preview program on bbc there and all the big papers are going for point barrow.

so, if you want on, get on early, cos it is likely to go off at a much shorter price after everyone reads claude duval over their corn flakes tomorrow.

i think it will win.

Pete - Mckelvey
Jayde- LAmi
Jazz - Idle talk
Shelly-Dun Doire

We think Hedgehunter may run a good race and get placed he's a class horse despite being top weight.

my girlfriend wants to bet jack high , cos our wee boy is called jack , i told her she would be better keeping her money or trying to persuade her to stick it on another horse with a chance , Billyvoddan or something ,

Not really one for us form studiers. More of a lucky pin jobby.

40 runners, carnage at every race. Lil bit of a lottery.

But, great fun anway and my 3 against the field are:

Longshanks @ 28-1
Dun Doire @ 22-1
Kelami @ 48-1

lol...I completely disagree that the national is a pinprick job. You have to go with a horse that can avoid any trouble (so must be up with the pace) and is a sound jumper and stayer. Hedgehunter looks more tempting to me by the minute and looks a certainty to place (first 5...FOR GOD SAKE..place bets with bookies that do first 5 EW..bet365 and bluesquare to name 2..don't go to laddies they do poor odds (26 point difference on some horses..26 points!!!! and only 4 places)

BTW my EW bet with stanjames was on eurotrek aswell as my Mrs wanted an EW bet on him
