a) he's unlikely to show.
b) so what if he shows rags? you never seen KK outdrawn before?
c) ALOT of people turn pro off the back of a single big win. and i think doubling the profit here is pretty key to doing that.

Your hardly ready to 'go pro' if your bankroll is $2k!

when exactly did i say you could?

what happened?

Pick from the following:

He called, the other guy had AA - KK hit quads but still ended 4th - they don't call it Riverstars for nothing

He folded and the short stack doubled up several times, wouldn't deal and KK ended up 4th.

(I think it is a made up scenario)

same number of times I've seen KK bust AA. So your point is irrelevent.

Yes a lot of people turn pro after one massive result but that does not make them good players or good pros does it?

You said

"long shot yes. something you'll look back on for the rest of your LIFE and regret if you never make it to pro after calling and only making a lame 40k from that position?"

Surely the implication of your statement is that winning £200,000 or £40,000 is the difference between making it pro or not? Otherwise what is the point of your comment?

My point is that wether you win 40K or 200K here it will have very little bearing on wether you make it as a pro. You can't base a lifetime of success/failure on wether you won a single tournament.

it's alot easier to go pro with 80k than 40k. no? right here i'd be aiming to maximise my chances of future success thats all i'm saying and i don't think you can do that by calling off your stack in this poistion without AA.

I call all day every day.  i don't care what the stakes are to be honest pre flop all in there is no way I am passing this in a million years.  $40 k is a lot of lolly and I am sure I could have fun with that.  But I'd rather put myself in a position to win it rather than live with the though of what if!

and then go busto just as quick.

one swallow does not a summer  make.......

my first impulse here was to fold to  ladder   due to the ss  impending presumed demise,

but given all the factors    kk 4 handed is a monster   go 4 it
