I'm to old for the pain involved in real hangovers. I set out yesterday to go to the BB4 event with the best of intentions.  Mingle, play friendly poker and socialise within standard limits. Jees it all went wrong and I want to know why.

Turned up at  the hotel to be greeted by Skalie. Shit the last time I saw him we were drunk in a small island in the Caribbean. Not a good start. I dodged a bullet when he asked if I was going to watch the football in reception. I knew I had strong will power.  Decided to rush to the casino to avoid temptation.

Within an hour of entering the casino have had drinks with Sheriff, Tikay and Tank...not a good start.  Not to worry as I had the easiest table in history.  ...To my left was a snappy, aggressive woman who eventually would lead me to new Levels in the drinking game...Mrs Pace. Next was a nice blonde lady who would bring tears to the eyes of Flushy. Things then got easy. Some girl called Chilli. She seemed like a nice girl until she check raised early on..Bitc.
She was followed by Flushy ...Broadmoor mental hospital is missing an ideal study opportunity with him. He smiles, but you know he is only a moment away from a crazy move. Tighty is next and he seems to be able to hide behind the antics of Flushy. The last player to mention on this table is a lady who said nothing, but acted like a lioness protecting her young everytime Flushy raised. How could I fail to dominate this table

Ok now that I'm out I can progress to the heads up. We have a good team but due to bad weather we go down three two. Norman and I do our best by winning our matches. Norman battled for over an hour to help his team mates. However Chilli again let us down with play that can only be described as wimpish. When is she going to realise that trying to play like Tikay just won't work.

On to the bar. Norman, his good lady, Skalie and his wife decide to test the ability of the bar staff to serve us four drinks an hour for the next few hours. Skalie is not happy as I think he wants the pace quickened. Oh well we decide to relax with a little snack and a cheeky Californian red.

Norman goes to bed. This leaves Skalie and his wife with Beverly and I. Now is the time to teach these girls how to play poker.........how lucky can girls be. We let them win the next two games before retiring to the hotel bar for a quick night cap. 4.30am

5.45am and we are still in the bar. We have just played some stupid game for the last hour and a quarter. Needless to say we had lots more to drink.I have now decided that Beverly Pace is Satan. She beats me at poker and can drink me under the table. skalie is laughing and I feel like I have been set up.

6.30am   Bed   zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

12 noon reception. Col Kev red dog and his good lady have that smug look of folks who had a good night's sleep. Norman is in the corner and I think he realises how bad I feel. Well he has been married to Beverly for thirty years. He must know how much pain is involved in a night out with his wife. He could have warned me.

Great weekend and good luck all.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

You forgot to mention being all-in with 8 x (a card not looked at) against Flusy's K-Q on a J-9-3-9-4 board and then flipping over the other card which was a 9!

Loudest cheer ever. Cheesy
