grandad introduced me. It was around the time of THM going stale a few years ago and he was posting tourney reports on there and mentioned he was starting a site with DC. It was also around the time that I went full time player so some of the stuff on here was essential to keep me sane.

I knew of RobertHM from THM and met him at a Poker Million Party and he said I had to try Blonde.

Heid suggested I check out the blonde forum when we met at a Betfair marketing shindig.  I commented there that I'd ventured onto the betfair forum a couple of times and really didn't like the vibe, and she told me blonde was much nicer, which it surely is (mostly!) Cheesy

Loving the new avatar Keithy  thumbs up

I was googling poker in January 2005 (new addictive hobby1) and found the old blonde main site...yellow background etc...

I emailed the old fella and said "are you going to do a forum?"

he replied "yes, soon. Can i tell you about the 11.07 this morning from Derby to St Pancras?"

on 31/01/05 I signed up, and here I am.

That is incorrect. It was the 11.04. There never was an 11.07 to St Pancras from Derby. I am on the 09.04 tomorrow, I'm excited already. Stops at Leicester only, then non-stop all the way.

Started playing live at Notts Gala in early 2005 and was messing around on google looking for more information about the casino. I found here and signed up about 2 years ago. If you look back in the archives about half the threads on here were about Notts and the membership was very Notts bias.

Think I was the 30th person to join blonde. Tikay use to write some tourny reports on THM forum and shortly afterwards blonde was created and he asked people to check it out. Being one to support new ventures I joined in the first few days.

I loved writing those reports, I really did. I wish I still had the time, they were fun to do, & informative, if not exactly entertaining. I still write them "in my head", I have loads of thoughts I'd love to commit to paper, but I never seem to find the time. My life seems to be full 24/7 these days, I've been so lucky, but regrets, well I do have  few.

Thats true, we were very Gala Notts orientated in those days, as was Rob, the then Manager, who supported Gala Notts heavily via blonde.
