Not sure exactly who was the person responsible, it was a joint effort between Lee (Leehack) and Flushy. We all found the forum at around the same time, though I remained a lurker for a while longer before finally joining up.
Hit my 100 day mark today, so I officially have no life!

Playing a Luton festival event in April 2005, I was sat next to some bloke aged about 150 who had just started a website. We chatted between his frequent dribbling (he seemed remarkably coherent for his age) and he encouraged me to sign up.
I did so the next day. The shock must've done something strange to the old man because a short while later his hair went white overnight!

I was googling poker in January 2005 (new addictive hobby1) and found the old blonde main site...yellow background etc...
I emailed the old fella and said "are you going to do a forum?"
he replied "yes, soon. Can i tell you about the 11.07 this morning from Derby to St Pancras?"
on 31/01/05 I signed up, and here I am.

was searching for info on the Cincinnati Club at about 11.30 one night, and stumbled upon this place. I spent the next three hours reading the forum, but was perplexed about a forum called "blonde". The name didnt mean anything to me at the time....

Ding ding ding - same for me. When the txtspk yoof took over the BF forum, just about every decent poster left as well. I found here from the link in the Will Hill software. |
