Since Virgil Van Dijk made his debut for Liverpool:

27 league games
15 goals conceded

In the 27 league games before Van Dijk signed, Liverpool had conceded 30 goals.

Congrats to the Liverpool boys on here. (Both of them?)

Wow, that was edge-of-the-seat stuff, especially the last 5 or 10 minutes when a Napoli goal would have killed Liverpool stone-dead. "Great save" by Alisson, or lucky? Looked a bit of both to me, but it was a very close-run thing.

Anyway, it matters not now, last 16 of the CL (along with 3 other EPL Teams), & the last remaining unbeaten team in the EPL.

Quite a season so far.

Last season, we would have conceded a goal in the last 10 minutes to Napoli

The difference in the defence since Van Dijk has arrived has been immense.

Agreed as to Van Dijk. The 'keeper has made a huge difference too, if we think back to some of last season's howlers.

All this after selling Coutinho, too, which, at the time, seemed a disaster.

I'm sort of ambivalent to Liverpool - or almost any EPL team to be honest -  but the resurgence of Liverpool in the last few seasons has been a joy to watch, & I hope it continues.

Current prices to win the EPL are (roughly) 1/3 City, & 5/2 Liverpool. Not sure I'd want to choose, but it's not cut & dried yet.

I'm sure Nirvana agrees, too, I suspect he is a big admirer of Klopp.

For that save I would say more lucky. Sure, he positions dhimself there, but the Napoli player shot it right at Alisson’s leg.

Liverpool were very lucky last night and survived because Napoli’s shooting was as terrible as theirs, it’s just they had far fewer chances. Mane was absolutely awful in front of goal...I may have to ship him out of my FPL team after sticking with him for so long.

Great to see Spurs go through too.

.

Lucky because of excellent positioning by the goal keeper. Lucky because Napoli were not better than them in front of goal. Lucky because they restricted Napoli to fewer chances than them

Basically they only went through due to the sheer luck of being the better team.

Scousers for you.

Settle down Hammer, they were far from "very lucky". Terrible shout. It could have been 6.
