Are Newcastle not in the mix come the end of the season and is it already a 2 horse race before December?

For the title I think it's a one-horse race, but it's probably daft to write off manu at this stage.  I just can't see Citeh dropping points all that often, and they'll be putting a lot of sides to the sword as they have been so far.

It's early doors, but of course Newcastle can't be discounted from a top 6 finish, but I think top 4 will be a bit of a stretch.  But it's a funny old game.

I think we can be, 7th is best we can hope for imo and I'll be pleased if we get that. You never know though. Who'd have thought Liverpool would spend 35million on someone to sit him on the bench every week

We got our £35m bench-warmer when we sold our £50m bench-warmer.  So a profit on that score.

Who would ppl make fave to finish above out of Liverpool/Arsenal?
Great question. I'd probably go for Arsenal at the moment but if Wenger hasn't learnt for last season and challenges on 4 fronts then they may struggle.

At the moment, Liverpool.  The team is gelling more and more, and there's still Gerrard to come back into the side and hopefully Carroll to show why he was worth the big money.

Arsenal are obviously a decent side as well, but seem to be very reliant on the excellent Van Persie - and not sure how effective they'd be without him if he gets injured, suspended, etc. Still too early to say really, but I think Liverpool could just shade it. Obviously it's only November, but it's difficult to say in what order Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and even Chelsea will finish.  They're a lot closer than many might have thought at the start of the season.  Spurs looking the most consistent so far at producing the results, Chelsea still have a strong squad but have stumbled a little recently.

Take Suarez out of your side and you'd arguably have the strike force of a team that should be looking to finish 15th - at best.  thumbs up

Take Suarez out of the side and take Van Persie out of Arsenal's side.  I know which side I'd prefer out of those two.

Arsenal's I assume.

A midfield of Adam, Lucas and Henderson hardly compares to Song, Ramsey and Arteta. On the wings I'd rather have Gervinho than Downing and Walcott rather than Kuyt, whilst at the back I'd probably take Enrique and Reina but the rest would be Arsenal players.

The fact you're level on points with us after the start we had to the season says a lot about how average you lot really are. Time for a reality check methinks.

Tell me, you did not just go there, you know how much Kin loves Kuyt, that were a low blow.

Trolls gonna troll.

Is that the best you can come up with?

Go on then, if you were to do a mixture of an Arsenal and Liverpool XI in a 4-3-3- formation, without either Van Persie or Suarez who would you play?

This should be interesting.

I think we'll leave it at that. The mere fact your avoiding doing a very simple task because you know how badly it'll reflect on your club is hilarious.

Then again if I were you I'd be doing the same. I suppose it iss better to live in a fantasy world where Liverpool are the best club ever with the best players ever rather than in the harsh reality you find yourself in.

Seeing as we're equal on points, I'll happily take an evens bet with anyone on Arsenal finishing higher.
