Defo seemed awful.   Watched it in pub last night, while playing local pub game....only seen the sending off once..looked like a great tackle to me?  Mate tho said it was two footed?

IMO:

A)  Red can go either way, its not 20 years ago, its not 10 years ago, its 2011 and under current rules can see why its given even if he did 100% get the ball.

B)  It still wasn't as harsh as Rodwell's so lets not have short memories.

C)  Thought we were not quite at the races & not sure Carroll + Suarez is ever gonna click, no chemistry for me.

What do Liverpool fans think of Downing? I thought he was fucking quality for Villa last year but can't make the team? I know he can't shoot but you have Adam for that!

the wankest refereeing performance ive seen for a long time

Goal ruled Offside dubious
Freekick should have been a peno.
Spearing Red card dubious
Some of the decisions which went Fulham's way were a joke.
Bet it was a decent game for a neutral but i hated it.

You forgot to mention the lack of a second yellow for Senderos for pulling back Carroll (free-kick given but no yellow for some strange reason), and also Bellamy getting a yellow card for standing there whilst Dempsey stuck his forehead into Bellamy's face repeatedly.

Terrible refereeing.  Think it was George who mentioned on another thread that these things balance themselves out over the course of a season.  I apologise now for whoever is on the end of us getting our karma back from last night.

That aside, Liverpool need to score more goals.  Simple as that really.

That's what you get for being so unbelievably disrespectful in starting Andy Carroll up front.

A complete insult to Fulham.

Never in a million years, Carroll if we're being honest is about as useful as tits on a bull!  Devv'd that Kenny started him last night and not Maxi, we smashed Fulham there last year, Kenny saw how we played that night he had the blueprint to beat them but opts for AC, woeful decision IMO.

Whoever was asking about Downing, he played about 2 good games at the start but has been mediocre at best for ages now, I deffo think he needed to be left out as a kick up the arse.

Furthermore, Fulham have 2 big cumbersome Centre halves in Hangeland and Senderos, so we play into their hands by sticking AC on, Hangeland can mop him up all day long, they would have had fits against the 3 little guys instead.

Maybe too early to say but Carroll looks like a dud. Was ridiculous spending that amount of money on an unproven striker who basically had a good season in the championship and half a decent season in the prem. This whole "well technically he cos us nothing cos we got 50 million for Torres hahahahaha" doesn't hide the fact that, at 30 million, you've done your dough. He was worth 10 million TOPS

They 'mopped up' Suarez as well.

Difficult to criticise Liverpool too much for signing AC at the time. Easier to do now. At the time they were losing their abs talisman and superstar terrace idol. There was no choice but to replace him with somebody else capable of filling the void. At the time AC was an abs talisman and superstar terrace idol breaking into the England team. To wrestle such a player away means paying top dollar and young british talent always commands a further premium. I don't know how many talisman type players were available to Dalglish at the time, esp from the prem. He could have spent £20m on a foreign player unproven in the league but I don't think that would have been any better a gamble than AC. Still long way to go but needs to get his head down imo.
