That deal is one for the future. Think the idea is to sign him and immediately loan him out. Don't see what's wrong with that, as if/when he progresses his value will increase, and if he doesn't kick on then he's sold on for a similar fee in a year or two.

He's easily worth £10m, and having a good/bad World Cup (or one match at the World Cup that he's being judged on) isn't the best way to judge a player (and anyway, he had a good game against the States). Salif Diao had an excellent World Cup once upon a time...

I only saw him in one game (against the states) and he was hopeless.

In my opinion of course.

He can't finish his dinner but he takes up excellent forward positions off the ball. There is hope for him I think,

Not one signing that I think we couldn't have acquired last year if we'd finished 7th. There are some undoubtedly good players but not seen anything to get excited about yet.

Markovich would be an exciting buy for me.

There was supposedly £60m in the transfer pool for Rodgers to use at the start of the window - so that's without the Suarez money. *Should* mean that there's still plenty of activity to happen before Liverpool are done in the window.

Interesting, I thought he was one of the best on the pitch. Others seem to agree, although it might just be that he makes an interesting story for the media.

Yep, I don't see any down-side to it.  Great bit of forward planning, and makes a change from us signing a player after his value has doubled a year later.

It's not the actual club shop apparently, just a Nike shop in Barca. I guess they can put what they want on the back of the shirts.

The talk is that Barca want to pay in three installments, based on performance. Hope Liverpool tell them to hurry up and get to the cash machine to get the full amount. Otherwise, there might be a change of plan...
