Markovich signed for €25m.
Where's that been announced? Read something about him being close to signing in the Telegraph earlier.
He's got bags of potential, is very, very quick, but he definitely seems to be a winger rather than a forward (that Sanchez would have been).
Love that bit of skill at 3:15 in the video

Reports that it's a done-deal seem a little unsubstantiated. Hope we do get him though.

Not cheap, although €25m is a big difference to £25M. We were interested him a year or so ago - and he was valued at about £12M then. Would like to see him at Anfield, and as a 20-year old he fits the bill of the sort of player FSG want Rodgers to sign.

Can & Markovic roughly £27m on both, and both leaning to be more on "potential" rather than now.
I do hope we are going to sign more First 11 players, as I heard quoted from Rodgers we will - as that is what is required for sure, if we are to repeat a top 4 this season.
On more positive thinking -it could work out as Lallana, Can, Lambert, Lovren, Markovic for Suarez isn't bad, when in theory we haven't spent our transfer budget yet!

Daniel Agger has apparently put his house and one of his Liverpool restaurants (Lark Lane) up for sale.

Brenda has made it clear that he doesnt fancy him so would be no surprise if he left.

Hope there's a very good replacement being lined up. Skrtel and Sakho hardly fill me with confidence, and either of them need to be alongside a reliable CB who will lead the defence.

Lovren has not made enough of an impression on me from the few times i have seen him play to offer an opinion.
Is he the answer?

Not at £25m. In far from an expert in european football but i sense you'd be able to pick better?

Goncalo Lopes, solid info when it comes to Portuguese stuff Dan.
Saw him play v Juve last season in europa league semi. He was best player by a distance. Obviously hard to make judgement on one performance. I'm sure Brendan's done his research. :-)
