Yeah, a shame for him. But he'll be back before too long, and he's good enough to fight for his place. Fortunately, we have plenty of options in midfield. There's also newspaper talk that we're still after Shakiri.

Lovren deal expected to be completed very soon. Perfect centre back for us imo.

Needed but alot of money. And pointless if we end up losing Agger!?

Roughly only £20m spent (95m out, assumption is that Origi will be completed too) this summer aswell which is not bad when the strategy has been to build up squad numbers.

Sold his businesses and house up for sale according to Echo, so yes looks that way.  If so then we are kind of back to square one, defensively, being to shallow in numbers of quality

As said months ago 20 million is fair

Looks like Arsenal have agreed 16 million for Chambers a promising full back but with nothing like the experience

Apparantly both Agger and Borini have left the US tour to fly home.

Shame. Was a bargain as well. Wonder who Liverpool will look at instead.

Apparently he has a heart defect. Showed up in his medical when he moved to Marseille.

Wouldnt surprise me if they did a bit more digging on his off the field activities when at Newcastle and decided against it

So we didn't believe that medical? Assuming we were aware of this outcome in Marseille, why pursue him.  Heart defects don't fix themselves do they?

Still onto the next target.....we've got 43 goals and assists to find!!
