Maxi is absolutely gash, but Kuyt is immense so we're ok...  Thanks Rafa, but bye bye please...

After one game?

He was very good in Spain.

You dont need me to tell you its a completely different league here m8.

Gotta agree with Dwayne about Maxi, i know its only a few games that he's been here but today it was like the whole game just passed him by. I hope he's not one of those Rafa buys where he gets really stubborn and keeps on playing him even when he's playing shit.

Good win today, it was a case of just grinding it out. We still dont look a threat going forward imo. Everton were the better team even when it was 11 v 11.

Was being the operative word, I was a little frustrated at half-time, but I still cant see him doing much...

The anti-bok worked tho...  Cheesy

the first red card was an interesting one. it's not often you see an on the ball incident where you could argue for both players being sent off

Thought the ref had a shocker. Some sickening challenges to be honest, from both sides.

The Pienaar non-sending off was odd. It was the worst of the lot, the ref had a perfect view....yellow card shown.

As has been said, both Krygiakos and felliani should have gone.

As a neutral, I love those blood and guts games though. In fairness the teams were fortunate they had a lenient ref. He hadn't sent anyone off in 22 PL games this season before that. Give the game Mike Dean or Rob Styles and it could have been carnage

I thought the gerrard challenge was borderline red as well, seemed to follow through on an everton player on the ground. only seen it once at full speed though

trailing leg caught Pienaar high on the chest, with both players horizontal, but it wasn't as if the leg could go anywhere else/he couldn't withdraw it

Anichebe's reaction, like a 8 year old girl fighting in a playground, was comedic to say the least. Big girls blouse.

Does everyone think Felleini should have been sent off?
If somebody is diving towards me two footed i'm definitely going to go in hard on them, he only uses his right foot and the greek deserved it. I'd have given him a pat on the back and then sent of the Liverpool player.

I agree but I think it was obvious Gerrard, Carragher etc had Pienaar marked after the Mascherano challenge. Gerrard blatantly was hoping Pienaar would get a second yellow when he did for not keeping his cool.

Steve Bennett would have had a field day!

fair enough on gerrard then, I wasn't paying attention for the replay so only had my first impression plus the fact that he was booked to go on. I see now that the booking was for unsportsmanlike behaviour and not for the challenge
