Borini???!  FFS, he can fuck off. Absolute shite

Out of the forwards we have available, he fits Rodger's pressing game the best.

...and he's got a goal now.

Think a lot of our recent good form has been helped by Lucas being played regularly. He has been immense.

Without wanting to be called a troll as usual your recent good form is down to nothing more than a very favourable schedule against mainly weak and out of form teams from the bottom third of the epl.   Since the start of December (13 games in all comps) you have played three teams higher than you in the league and Basel in the champions league. You haven't won a game to any of them drawing all three games at home and beaten heavily away at manure.  In the other games you have beaten two teams from lower leagues in cups to pad out the 'impressive' recent form and drawn at home to leics and Sunderland in the league amongst some wins against the relegation fodder of the league.

He was the MOTM last night.  Thought there were plenty of very good performances (Coutinho, Gerrard, Skrtel, Markovic, Sterling), but Lucas really stood out for me.  Considering many wanted him gone, and there was talk of him leaving at the end of the season, he's shown why he's very important to Liverpool.

If we'd been playing like this from the start of the season, we'd be in a much healthier position. Still desperately need a goal-scoring striker though, and hopefully Sturridge comes back as soon as possible and then doesn't get injured again.  Don't understand why Liverpool weren't willing to pay a few million to get Origi in early, especially if it meant Balotelli leaving and recouping some of the money for him.

Aston Villa continue talks with Liverpool for Rickie Lambert. Fee likely to be at least £5m if deal is agreed.

They can have Balotelli instead.
