wow what an interview

''we were controlling the game, with good possession etc etc, zzzzzzzzzz''

By any chance?

No it was none of that, he basically said we were shit and if we dont show character in future games we cant guarantee beating shitty teams. You could tell he absolutely bollocked em. He's best interview ever imo, you could tell he was fuming.

Interesting though, that for many of the fans when we win it always seems to be the players who've played well and are credited with the win; and when we lose - it's the manager's fault and the players are somehow absolved of the blame.

How many have we actually won AND played well tho?

Do I need more than 1 hand for this season?

No, it's always the case - not just this season.  When we beat Spurs 2-0 at Anfield this season, there was lots of credit given to the players for their effort and commitment.  If we'd lost, it would have been the manager's fault.  Not saying this is restricted to Liverpool.  Fans from all teams do it.  England managers seem particularly affected by it.

Isn't it about time to change this thread title to "liverpool fc a sad sad story"?

Who is responsible for picking, training and buying these players? Granted the final point is a mute one at a lot of football clubs but how many of the current Liverpool squad was Rafa against buying/selling?

I actually rate Rafa as a manager I just think his time at Liverpool is coming to an end and would probably be better for both to part ways. I predict Rafa will be a success in his next job.

That doesn't change my point.  The same players were applauded for previous performances, and then when they play badly, the manager gets the blame.

If Liverpool finish in 4th spot (looking very unlikely now), will it be because of or despite of the manager?

I have a feeling his tenure is drawing to an end, but not sure who'll be brought in to replace him.  Hope whoever it is can get off to a flying start but that they also get given time to make the team theirs.

I also think Rafa will do well wherever he goes.
