Anyone know much about Jonjo Shelvey?

Looks like a done deal.

Two promising young british players

Jonjo Shelvey i heard a fair bit about the lads move when i spoke to some charlton big wigs last week. No idea what hes like as a player but his parents pushed for a big money move and were always looking for incentives/backhanders from charlton. They got fed up with the scrotes and said he could go if the package was right. I guess liverpool offered some money to his parents Tongue

Really good read actually - might be because i'm an accountant though.
If costs have to be reduced then surely Rafa has to go. If Juve want him you can ask for minimal compensation so the deal goes through and saves you the severance pay.
Pellegrini will be available for nothing and has a decent reputation although as a club manager i think you could do worse than go for Sven.

Rafa gone??

That's the rumour.  Can't help but think it doesn't matter who's brought in if there's no money provided to strengthen the team/squad.

I'm not getting this. He wouldnt commit for ages then speaks to Broughton and says he's staying and there's funds. Broughton says we wont be selling Gerrard or Torres.

Now tonight? Why would it be compensation if he'd decided to go to Inter? He has to have been sacked or left by mutual consent but I see no reasons why going by the above.

I have a feeling this is the LFC goldfish bowl at it's best. Gerrard has a 16 yr old preggers, some gangsters are the reason he didn't go to Chelsea, his wife is tapping some coke dealer, Agger is a pisshead etc etc

Sheeeet!

It's a done deal. Awful decision. Goodbye Gerrard, goodbye Torres. This decision has probably cost the club 3 seasons in progress.

I thought Gerrard was more likely to leave if Rafa stayed? And who are we getiing in? who would you like?

Wouldnt be surprised to see Gerrard to go work with Jose at real.

Torres should stay I reckon now depending on who comes in.

One thing that has always worried me about Rafa is the fact that no player ever seems to get on with him apart from on a professional level.
