Just countering the ridiculously inaccurate figures you have previously quoted and your assertion that Rafa massively over-spent.

You talk about his turnover of players? Compared to other managers coming in to a club to turn around its fortunes, did he really do anything out of the ordinary, or just the same as other managers?

It's like the zonal-marking or his rotation policy, myths are perpetuated by the media (bye messrs Gray and Keys) and picked up by those too lazy to actually think about the situation.  In those cases, Liverpool consistently having the best or second-best defensive record in the league under Rafa, and a quick look at other club's squad rotation would show Liverpool's as nothing extraordinary.

Rafa would love to come back to Liverpool and finish what he started, but under owners who also want success and are willing to support him. I don't think it would be the right move (there are probably different avenues we should look to go down), but if the club went down that route I'd smile to see Rafa back at the helm.

I quoted The Sunday Times mate. It's a point many people consider valid and that's why lots of different media sources give voice to it. It's an interesting question as well and worthy of debate. But the Sunday Times 'facts' were blatantly wrong. So any conclusions founded on them cannot be valid. You're not the biggest fan of Rafa, and that's fine. But criticise himon what he actually did, rather on inaccurate figures that remain incorrect no matter how many times they're repeated.

The timing of the move was fine if you believe the article. He gave Liverpool 12 days notice during a transferwindow that meant they could get more money for them than they would have got in the summer.
Attitude on the pitch? He was chasing long balls by himself when he's not that type of striker. Not his attitude that's a big problem more having a shit manager and a squad of players not strong enough to stand up to that manager when he is blatantly getting it wrong.

But you were playing relegation football and had a shit manager in charge. How is he to know that promises will be delivered now? Kenny was only a temp manager, remember? Who is to say who will come in next. At the time Kenny was also saying they weren't really looking to bring new players in at that stage as that was not his position as a temp manager. WTF is Torres to think? Can't blame him for thinking he's wasted another year of his career IMO.

Fair enough that he's been frustrating you..but surely you can imagine times when you're stuck at your desk working for a shitty company that's been making you promises for ages about how great life was going to be if only you stuck with them. You're one of their top guys, and they'll bring in more top guys, so they tell you.
So you give them a few extra years as you actually quite like the company and you care about it's customers. You see all the other top guys leaving and now it's just you and one other bloke...to top it all off all of a sudden they bring in a complete tool of a manager that tells you "Yeah, you're important and you've been doing a grand job for the past few years...but..how's about you go and do the job the way you don't like it and in a way that would definitely not be the best for you"

Feck that, I'd be sitting at my desk a little bit frustrated. On top of that, he's been injured and hasn't had a decent break since the WC. He has still scored 9 goals for you this season and that for a team that overall wasn't functioning isn't too bad really.

Considering the results over 6 years the answer to this question can only be "yes".

Do you think you could say something positive about Rafa's reign instead of looking for the negative in it all the time.

Yes he made some bad signings and yes he lost money on some players, but show me a manager that hasnt. The team needed strengthening throughtout his time and he bought and sold to make a profit in order to fund bigger purchases such as Torres, mascha and alonso. Rafa sold Baros for a profit, that was the 1st time Liverpool had done so since Kennys 1st reign.

Id welcome Rafa back in the future, seems he would love to take the job again at some point.

Benitez is a Champions league winner, a UEFA cup winner, and a league winner. The results speak for themselves, he is an exceptional trophy getter and a master tactician. That doesn't address the topic I quoted but meh, you have your wish.

Agree here to be honest. He's never been media savvy has Rafa and he got the timing of this interview all wrong.
