I'm no fan of Bent but his GPG ratio is miles better. much as I love bent isn't defoe's gpg loads better? Over the course of their whole careers: Defore: 187 in 452 - goal every 2.41 games Bent: 169 in 395 - goal ever 2.33 games Wowzer Surely Bent is ahead in recent seasons? I read somewhere in the last 7 only Rooney has out scored him? Could be wrong |

80 in 199 for Defoe - 2.48 per game 117 in 235 for Bent - 2.008 per game That's for all competitions for their respective clubs over the last 7 seasons excluding the current season. |

Just for final confirmation: League goals only: Defoe 54 in 148 - 2.74 per game Bent 90 in 202 - 2.24 per game I realise Defoe will have come off the bench a lot more than Bent, but I'd take Bent over Defoe every single day of the week. Would take both over Carroll! |
