Downing has 0 goals and 0 assists from 30 Premier League appearances. He cost £20m, wtf? i always rated him. interesting to see how many minutes he has played with carroll, another i rate highly.

He has 2 assists, both against QPR in the recent 2-3 match but I take your point. It was generally accepted that his signing would be a major benefit to Carroll and it just hasn't materialised.

Just seems like a manipulation of stats to me.

Agger being out might have had more to do with it.

This article is both good and bad at the same time. It gets some of it right, about Gerrard under Rafa, being let off the leash etc, some of it so wrong, ie impact on other players and the CM situation vs Juventus in 2005 isn't even accurate.

What I do know is Gerrard is not the best in a 4-4-2.

I've been thinking the same thing for a long time, I get the impression he feels he's bigger than the team sometimes. I think he needs a strong manager who will tell him where he's going wrong on the pitch, but don't think we've had one of those in a while.

I'm the first to point out when I think Liverpool are mispriced in a match (2.14 this morning), but I laid Liverpool today and backed it back when I saw the teamsheet. This article may have manipulated the stats, but I felt happy when I saw who we had playing today.

What a game, Andy Carroll, worth every penny Wink 2nd pen was a joke.

Edit: Also does anyone else think that it was a poor decision to bring Flanagan off for Jones? Felt like an emotional decision by Dalglish to me, not a logical one.

Thought he handled himself well. Obviously been taking lessons from SAF and Mike Phelan.

Flanagan was lucky to still be on the pitch to be subbed! He was having a shocker. Dalglish has been pilloried for not making substitutions early enough (quite rightly on a fair few occasions), but he got this one spot on.

Carroll was excellent again imo. Also great to see Agger playing, he's different gravy.

Looks to me like Kenny is angry about things said about Liverpool in the media and was determined not to discuss anything that could be headline material for the wrong reasons.

No idea why this interview might make you change your mind about liverpool anthony! Managers are not obliged to stand and give every answer that interviewers want, he wasn't rude, just fired up after the win.

He can say what he wants. Needs to sort his facts out first, but entitled to his opinion.
