Those who want him out now, who do you want to come in?

I know this will get stick but Rafa Benitez.

I know his last season was awful etc but if you judge his entire term in charge of Liverpool it was on the whole excellent considering his resources. The prem was also the strngest it ever was. I'd like to see what he could do without the penny pinching.

No stick for wanting Rafa back. If Dalglish left, I don't think there's anyone I'd want to take over more than him.  He's got unfinished business, and with the right support (i.e. the new owners) I'm sure he'd do well.

He's got an awful history working in a model that has a DoF above him though.

Love the new shirt! Much prefer the traditional crest, and like you said the flames are still on the shirt.

I like the plain, simple designs rather than fussy, over-designed nonsense you see with many kits.

Think the shirt would look better with the words Crown Paints on the front

The board told the supporters committee at the last meeting that the various groups were consulted about the flames before the design got the go ahead.

Yes me and a friend "argued" about this.  I've no doubt the decision wasn't taken lightly or indeed without consulting the relevant parties.

Still not sure about it, seems wrong.  Not comfy with it at all tbh, but maybe that will subside with time?

Agree with Kin, that the plainess of the top is a refreshing change.

I haven't read any forums etc, do we know or what the reasoning is to remove the flames from the badge?

I'm not sure. But the hoohah has been based around that the club officially consulted one group but it doesn't officially recognise a couple of others that represent the families. These other groups seem to have kicked off based on the fact they weren't consulted and not really because of the design itself.

Ian Cotton - director of comms has gone by mutual consent. A top bloke and really helpful. I can only think it was inevitable after the Suarez incident. The club is ever changing.
