with agger, johnson, saurez missing, coutihno coming off injured..can't really complain

4 games, top.  can't argue really.  next 3 games "winner-able"  soton, (h) sunderland (a) palace (h)

Tbf the fixtures in most of the early part of the season have been very kind to us certainly can't complain with the start we've had

Can stop being results-orientated now and see that the side doesn't have the required strength in depth.  Not going to get down after one bad result, but also wasn't being swept along with the first three results that could have all easily ended 1-1.

Think the team will be judged better on how they respond now and the performances over the next handful of games.

How much belief do we have. Simple really. Reaction will tell us soon enough

Also, 4CBs, with 2 full backs on bench! Logic please.

Unfit full backs playing 65-70mins, surely better than players out of position.

Heck 3 at the back would be better?!

In defence of playing Kolo at RB, many thought that was his best position before he cemented the CB position with Arsenal. That was a few years back when his pace was truly electric.

Didn't see the game, so can't comment on the performance. But if we're going to be challenging for a top 4 spot this season, we should be beating sides like Southampton (no offence to Southampton) at Anfield.

You may need to challenge for an Europa League position first Smiley

This result was always coming, better to get it early and deal with the problems now. Poor team selection/set up today.

Coutinho missing takes all the creativity out the team.

Is Joe Allen  consigned to the scrapheap?

We'll have him if you don't want him.

He had surgery on his shoulder.  Not sure if he's got back to full-fitness yet. Was Rodger's blue-eyed boy (even when playing badly), so would expect to see him back if fit.

Was at the game yesterday we definitely lacked creativity yesterday but Suarez is back now which will help massively.mignolet got himself in so much trouble yesterday trying to dribble and being to clever on the ball,Moses going to be a great addition to the side seen him play loads for Wigan gives us pace and power in wide areas.

This. Sterling must play when Coutinho doesn't.

TBH i was hoping for Alberto to start in a like for like change.

Scored a hattrick in the week for the u21s seemed like the perfect time for his premiership home debut.

Really not sure about Aspas.
