3 draws seems ridic optimistic. Expect Everton and Chelsea to win v comfortably

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Lump on 3 draws then
That isn't what the expected result is. It's what the expected result would be, on average, if the team is to reach 72 points - the arbitrary points-haul required to reach the top 4.
Which is why Everton are currently in the driving seat for the 4th spot - ahead of Liverpool, Spurs and United - even if they just draw with WBA.

I know it's sacrilegious but Gerrard really wrecks the momentum and tempo Liverpool have when he's not in the side
Disagree but he can't play as the sole DM in a 4-4-2. He was awful first half. He's a creative player not destructive.
Yep, agreed he can't do the DM thing. But lets say you play him as a creative player - I just thing the game slows down and moves more likely to break down with so much sent through him. Just felt they looked much more balanced and progressive without him but pretty small sample size tbf.

It's a big discussion point amongst Liverpool fans. There's no doubting he's been a top-class player, and even though he's on a decline (from a very high peak) there's no arguing he's still got something to offer - but like you say his inclusion as a defensive midfielder seems to have affected the way the team plays. Henderson's play seems to suffer the most, and maybe we'll only see the best of Henderson after Gerrard has moved on.
Gerrard at centre back? Sure he could play full-back as well, and probably better than the two who 'graced' the field yesterday.

Hard to disagree in the last few games but pre-injury this was turning into one of Gerrard's best years in a few seasons. Lucas and Hendo do the donkey work and he passes it about. All gravy. Then he got rushed back due to the squad and looks out of his depth. For me he's one of two DMs allowed to pass the ball when he can. He's never one of two CMs in a 4-4-2 vs a pressing side. It's just not his game.

Even now people don't miss Lucas until he's gone. We need to buy!

Lucas will be out for a long time apparently. So we will miss him.
In other news, the Telegraph have mentioned that Glen Johnson's £100,000 per week contract will not be renewed by Liverpool. Whatever is wrong with him is definitely affecting his play as he's a shell of the player he was last season, when he was very good. No idea what it is, but hope it's not some medical condition that other players have suffered (Kennedy, Babbel, etc.).

We've been trying to offer him less for ages. £100k for a right back is ridiculous unless they really are a world beater.

Gerrard is done as a midfielder. His legs have long gone and his passing is more erratic than ever. For all his glory passes he has always given the ball away easily, but now its more bad passes then good. Play him in the defence where he could still be an asset. Rogers need re-inforcements fast in all areas, even though West Brom done us a favour last night 4th spot looking vulnerable at present

I reckon Gerrard could definitely do a job in defence. Especially if it meant Cissokho doesn't play.

Anyone on blonde could do a better job then Cissokho.
Dont know why Rogers doesn't put Kelly RB and shift Johnson to LB.
Gerrard played plenty at RB for Liverpool and England in his younger days

Lucas out for two months the only man who can play the defensive midfield properly at the club only who is really defensive minded and sniffs out danger

Not really sure how it's turned into a Gerrard is past it type convo.
Gerrard as a DM? No. Gerrard in a 4-4-2? No. Gerrard done as a midfielder? Let's not be silly. As I said before, prior to injury he was immense this season. Bad games I cant even fill a hand on. He's really being judged by some fans on the 3/4 games since his return (where he's been awful) but that really is a very short memory.

Pretty sure I couldn't, and Tikay would probably only do an equivalent job.
