Walcott would be a starter at LFC rather than a rotated player , would also get to play in his favoured position up front on the many occasions that Sturridge is injured.

Wishful thinking obviously.

If his performances this season were anywhere near as good as he thinks he is he would have CL next season. If he could kick a ball further then 12 yards and in a direction he wants it to go, he would have scored at least another 20 goals this season.

But he would also have to live up North (when he has never lived north of London in his life), he would be a starter because he isn't good enough to start on a Champions League team in the EPL week in week out and by playing week in week out his limited talent would be exposed for what he really is and has been all his career.  Over valued and over hyped.  Sure he much prefers the quiet life at Arsenal on the bench, picking up £100k a week and making the odd England squad.

Don't think Walcott is over-hyped.

A very classy player in short bursts - does anyone hype him up to be more than this

Arsenal are in the champions league, year after year

walcott would never go down a rung to Liverpool

I'll bite;

Last 10 seasons Arsenal won 3 trophies
Last 10 seasons Liverpool have won 5 trophies

Average league positions since 04/05

Arsenal runners up 1
Liverpool runners up 2

Average league position (total finishing / 10 seasons)

Arsenal 3.4
Liverpool 4.7

So I take umbridge to "lower rung"!

Walcott would also play football week in week out. That has to stand for something given Euros in 2016 and WC 3years away!?

in terms of being in the champions league next season, and prospects of achieving it going forward....clear gap liverpool to the top 4 = lower rung

there wasn't any step down with suarez and sturridge up front....since though liverpool have slipped back a bit and arsenal have progressed a bit

think all that is inarguable

Stats are very subjective. Picture changes if u use last 5 years for example.

This could be money motivated but by having some a bad year sterling can use lack of ambition as an excuse and Liverpool or its fans don't really have a defence

Given FPP it comes down to annual revenues - Liverpool are the 5th highest in the premier league £50m below AFC but £70m above Thfc so will probably stay 5th until this changes (improved stadium etc)

I totally agree. Would gladly take a straight swap for Sterling. But Sterling wouldn't start at Arsenal, or Chelsea, or City and I don't think United would dabble because he needs a World Class+International Class striker in front of him to look good.  My word have you seen his shooting recently? Dead straight and pish-weak.

In fact, who would buy Raheem unless he went on a free? Athletico? No hope in hell of Barca/RM, that's for sure.

Good luck to the idiot if he wants to sit on the bench the whole season to 'celebrate' winning something, having contributed very little (much less than a super-sub like Milner, for example).

He's good, but not good enough to command a starting place at one of the top 6 clubs in europe that I guess he thinks he's going to? The problem is it could ruin him reaching his potential at this age to sit on the bench 90% of starts; how many promising youngsters have we seen this happen to?

Sterling's agent: “I don’t care about the PR of the club & the club situation..he is not signing"
