R.I.P Brian Hall.

A vital cog in the great 70's team, and great servant of the club.

what would first choice 11 be? squad seems great imo

                     Mignolet

Clyne  Lovren (expecting better season) Skrtel Moreno

                       Can

         Milner                 Henderson

                     Coutinho

     Benteke                 Sturridge

Lot of options on bench

I would think Liverpool fans would want to see the £29million Firmino in there. Certainly he is one player I’m really looking forward to seeing in the PL this year.

Since Rogers took over 3 years ago the spending on new players under his watch is now around £300 million if including Benteke. So really, even allowing for the high profile departures, the squad should be strong!

A big year ahead for Rogers. Just seen  he is favourite in the "first PL manager to be sacked market."

That definitely isn't the first choice starting XI.

No Firmino as previously stated? No Sakho? I also think Lallana will have a good season without the injuries that plagued him from before the start of last season.

But yes, lots of options in the squad. Just hope Balotelli isn't one of them.

was guessing there was only room for coutinho or firminho in the team.

completely forgot about markovic, ings, ballotelli, lambert, ibe

That's borderline trolling, Tighty  Cheesy

We know Rodgers won't play a wide man to ping balls in. Benteke will be getting the odd lump up top from Henderson which he'll be expected to flick on for Sturridge or hold up with his back to goal.

Still strikes me as a bizarre purchase and wreaks of making the same mistakes over and over (a matter which, as a spurs fan, I am expertly placed to identify).

The next manager will inherit a superb strike partnership, though, come Christmas Wink

it's absolutely meant to be a genuine question, no negativity implied. some fantasy league thoughts implied!

Who gives him the service from wide areas?

will he play on his own up top?

Very much this. Really can not see how Benteke fits in to the Rodgers style of play.

Also , according to Sherwood , his game under Lambert suffered as he was asked to do too much defensive work.Once Sherwood told him to stay upfield he started scoring again.

No way is he going to be excused from the pressing and harrying game that Brenda employs.

playing both the brazilians against any of the top teams (this season the big games are really, really big) would be a disaster surely.

Yes ,all the pressing and defensive work was a major factor in making him tired.
