This was as near as I could get to that Vulcan at Southend Airport. Shit pic, but the memory of it is vivid.

When I googled "Vulcan Bomber" or whatever, the google page had one of those little sponsored links on the right hand side. "Vulcan Bomber from £25, on e-Bay".

"Well stop worrying, & that'll cure it".

Now I mean, ffs,. How can you stop worrying, if you are made that way? As advice went, it was as daft as it gets.

If you went to see the doc a little more often than once every 19 years and establish a proper doctor/patient relationship with him, he would get to know you a little more, be better able to see the bigger picture and thusly better able to offer advice and treatment specifically tailored to you that might be helpful.

Bit unfair to dismiss the usefulness of medical professionals who see you less often than they see Hailey's comet.

Tank is my new hero - first bit of sense spoken on this thread for ages.

It's exactly the same as running a car.  If you have it checked and serviced regularly then any problems can be diagnosed early before they become a big problem that requires a lot of work.  This is especially true for old bangers.

Lol.

Talking of old bangers, watch this space.....

Spotted this at Jurys, Heathrow, this morning.

It's being restored, so the paintwork has been rubbed down. Absolutely magnificent, eh?

It has a running-board - now that's CLASS.

Anyone know what it is, before I do the reveal?

Spotted this, too, this morning. A 747 coming in, flaps-galore, engines roaring.

What a sight & sound.

Also spotted today.....

This is the Metreopolitan Police Mounted Escort at "work".

Every bike is like new, absolutely spotless, the Group must cost a fortune to run & maintain, as I donn't suppose it's used very often. BMW's, every one identical.

I love the last picture. Bikes & cars and planes. Heaven on the A30.

Don't forget, if anyone is up for a trip to Duxford next week, or the week after, lets do it.

Previously, Ralph, Red, Aces, Kev, Tonji, & a few others were interested, but I think I must have bored everyone to tears, cos it's all gone quiet now.

A little poker, before I get told off.

I played the £300 at Southend last week,. & even whether to play it or not is a story in itself, but thats for another day. But I was stuck in Southend in a Hotel where the internet did not work, & it did my head in, so I played.

No such excuses this week, so I won't be playing the Luton 2 day £300, with Filming being planned for tomorrow. Almost undoubtedly definitely not. Probably. I'm 4/1 against to make the Final, on Day Two, so should be safe. I'm deffo dithering about it. Des was as good as gold about it. "Of COURSE you can play it, I don't mind at all. But if you so much as cause a single seconds interruption to the filming, because you are busy playing, I'll cut off your legs, arms, & head & feed them to the pigs". That's called reverse delegation.

So, 15k chips at Southend last week, lovely clock, settle down with some good table banter, Woodley included, & several Sky Poker regulars, for a lovely relaxing night's Poker.

I'm trundling along nice & quietly, minding my own business, and the game is playing weird, because of the stack sizes. At 200-400, it goes 1,200, 1,200, 1,200, 1,200, so I jam, with 5-2, & everyone says "you have nothing". And all duly Pass.

I do a bundle with J-J v Q-Q on an 8 high board, & lost 6k, could not lose less, so that's ok.

And then, a weird thing went off.

Loud Canadian woman to my right has been tilted up by Woodley, who's teasing her rotten. She gives him some verbals - BIG mistake - so Woodley pounds on with the banter, she's steaming now.

It's 200-400, & it gets to her. She throws in 7,600. Gasps all round. HOW MUCH?

"How much you got behind?" I enquire, looking down at my Q-Q, she says "1,200, & I ain't Passing". Get away.

I think Flushy & The Degens will kill me if I Pass here, so in they go. She flips over K-T, & boom, the K flops, & I'm nearly felted.

It's fun now, 3k chips with Blinds 300-600, & I'm having a Ball now, ducking & diving, finding spots.

I shove & jam back to 8k, this is as good as it gets.

Then I find Q-Q, and an early position Raiser. I jam, but then, sat behind me, Viktor "Desperate Dan" Kanwar does the same. Oops, taxi time I fancy. The Early Raiser declines, on their backs, Viktor shows......5-5.

NO FIVE, NO FIVE, NO FIVE I silently plead.

Flop, 4-6-7, turn, 3.

FIVE, FIVE, FIVE, PLLEEEEEEASE.

Still, my legs, arms & head remain intact, & the pigs remain hungry. Win-Win.

Sorry, but to calm down the plethora of speculation & replies as to the make & model of that car, I'm gonna do the reveal now.

It is, of all things, a Triumph Vitesse. Who'd have thunk that?

OK, I'm heading North now. Not entirely sure I will be able to resist the lure of the Luton Main Event. It'll be Ok if I play it, theres always some eejit ready to risk their Tourney life & Call all-in to bust me with 9-3.

1. Whats happening in the background of those bike pics? Are the police manhandling someone?
2. My Dad has the lower, soft top version of the Vitesse - lovely on summer sunday afternoons.
3. Good luck Celtic x
