Just a bit! Fine piece.
This was a good observation, I thought.....
a small number of people who want to go on about their own obsessions, sometimes called "trolls". Whereas with Twitter there is a more democratic outcome: if what you say is worthy of being repeated it will be re-tweeted and discussed by many others; if not, it won't be.
Natural selection ftw. It had never occurred to me until I read that, although it's blatantly obvious, that Twitter is a troll-free medium. Happy days, no space for the brain-deads.

how did you decide which days to have the 2 end pieces with their associated extra chocolateness?
I only ever dared slip the right amount out of the end of the wrapper. If I'd ever have been silly enough to expose the whole Chunker in all its naked chocalateyness, I would have had to have gollopped it down in one diet-busting go obv. So, strictly serial, end to end.

were you ever tempted to cheat by opening both ends of the wrapper, so you could eat the chocolately ends first without exposing the middle?

I think that I'm missing something here. I see no inherent differences between Facebook and Twitter in this respect. There is effectively no difference between accepting a "friend" on Facebook and having a "follower" on Twitter apart from the "following" being a uni-directional relationship. Followers can still bombard your account with offensive and inane remarks - it appears to be as prone to Trolls as any other social networking site in my experience.
I believe that the author is looking at Twitter through rose-tinted glasses.
I'd be interested to hear how people perceive the differences between the two media in this respect.

Twitter is far preferable to use imo. I have come to love it
On facebook I am bombarded with Spam, and Invitations to this and that, undeniably well targetted stuff
My twitter account is crap free and it has replaced morning newspapers and perusing many sites for me as the people and sites I follow link to everything I am interested in

What is your "spag bol" recipe that is so calorie-economic?
Knowing you as I do and your dislike of onions I'm truly intrigued as to how this is concocted.
I would imagine that parmesan cheese grated on top just prior to eating is not acceptable.

Was just about to comment on this before Dr Smiliebiner got there first.
Spag bol is one of my fave foods, but definitely NOT something I'd recommend if you're trying to lose weight.

No. Unlike some, I've never been tempted by the delights of the double-ender.

You need carbs for energy so don't cut them completely.
Basically, your body burns either fat or carbs depending on the level of your activity. If you eat less carbs, you will burn more fat and hence lose weight.
