I'm playing today's noon Deepie, then that's me done, I go home Sunday or Monday I think. Let me know what time you need me @ Caesars tomorrow, please, & I'll come across.

starts 1pm local

Any time that suits you though

Tomorrow, not today, yeah?

yes. In the Champions room at the back. Absolutely stunning.

I had to tear myself away from the statistics on the sportsbook screens this morning...OCD heaven.....

Aria has the nut sportsbook in Vegas imo. Its a fair bit smaller than most of the others but the sofas in there are awesome and its never too packed if you just wanna watch a game. I'm not into spots betting but getting to watch games without having to be awake 'till 4am was pretty cool.

Think this is something that you'll appreciate Tikay....if you have a few mins spare

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pP-SUtKkT9w#!

you might want to mute it.  has a horrific background track on

Just found it while randomly on the internet.

What really hit me is how clean/tidy the streets looked.  Also how much better everything look without the hundreds of road signs/road markings on every foot of road.  And everyone seemed to get around fine....

I think Flushy means Lagasse's stadium. It's awesome, esp if you're in a group.

I thought that too - looks more like a film set than London!  Not a sign of any litter, but didn't spot (m)any bins either.  Guess stuff was much less disposable back then.

Scotty really has started something with that wonderful piece of 50's footage, had me drooling. More of that sort of thing please Ryan, & anyone else. We gotta fight back against the Degen Diaries.

So, for Ralphy boy, the Humber Super Snipe.

Used by the Military a lot, had a column gear shift, & a lovely slidey leather bench seat in the front. Perfect for canoodling. They always had that wonderful "leather" smell internally, too, & wind-up windows with shiny chrome window winders, & "quarter lights". Some had those sexy sun visors, & "spots".

Off you go, down Memory Lane.

Consumer goods did not come pre-packaged back in the day, carrier bags were made of brown paper & would last for months, we never threw anything away, either, everything had a use.

It was also very much frowned upon to throw litter on the strets, you'd be too ashamed to do it. I suppose being old & grumpy has a price, but it still annoys me intensely to see people throw litter on the floor without a thought or care in the world. I'd have 'em shot, I would.

One of my prized possessions as a kid was one of these Oxo Tins, which I got from F Hawkins & Co, & used as my sandwich box for school for years. The edges of the tin lid were razor sharp, sliced fingers were not always sandwiches.....

Then they went & invented frigging Tupperware, & the world changed. I blame Tupperware.

Reckon half of todays kids should have been stuck in a tupperware box & left overnight.

I've weighed a few of those in in my time, even weighed an Armstrong Siddeley in once. and it made the unheard of sum of £100.

Scrap was about £25 a ton at the time I think the car weighed about 50 cwt, so say £65 quid for the steel and the rest for a load of brass trim, a, humongous copper radiator, and a battery that would run a milk-float.

Oooh thanks Tony, that's very similar to my dad's old one.

Speaking of the bench seat, he would occasionally let me slide across and sit between his legs and steer it for a minute or two when there was noone about. I must have been seven or eight years old at the time and it was a huge treat.

Good spot Rich.

"Namath" is the footballer whose name I pronounced incorrectly in front of a bunch of locals when I was trying to blag my NFL knowledge. Proper fail, that.

I'll be across later, but try & see the photo of a boxer laid out on the floor of the ring, arms & legs askew, like a star - I THINK it is behind the Cash Desk.

There are some lovely golf photos in the raised section of the Cash Room, on the left as you enter.

Honestly, I think Caesars is far & away my favourite cardroom, worldwide. Such a fine room, so well fitted, & great atmo for gamblers & card players to congregare, & the Sports Betting Hall right outside.

I actually thought Namath was Dan Marino. Close.......

I bumped into Rich yesterday, 24 hours into his Vegas debut. He was struggling to drag his jaw along, as it was dragging on the ground. His head was looking this way & that, his poor OCD mind must have been on overload.
