Found Noodle Asia to be massively underwhelming.

P.F Changs, (PH) Noodles (Bellagio) and Beijing Noodle Number 9 (Caesars) get better (and more expensive) in that order.  Still quite happy to use a comp in Noodle Asia though...

Unfortunately, you are likely to find all kinds of nutrients and taste in a lot of the dishes... you won't be wanting any of that.

I really enjoy your diary when you're off galivanting and having fun, or even just when you're working and having fun, basically when you're not worrying about other people's problems/actions. Can u warn me to stop reading when it gets back to the worrying about who posts what where and who said what to who stuff and I can switch off again Smiley

Keep having fun over there Gramps x

Enough with the Noodle Asia bashing already! Place is the best for asian noodles. Bar none.

Pizzled fell in love with edamame and the seafood noodles with chili sauce is better than any of Lovejoy's fancy steak stuff. Probably.

Went 17th or 18th in the end for $1,100 odd. Got my chance for final-table stack five hands out (8 9 v 7 10 on 7 9 10 flop (squarehead eventually called shovage after 5mins brewing)) and missed, so no complaints. Outperformed by Keithy Miller again, sigh. Think he went 11th. He too good.

They wouldn't do an 18-way deal even though I sayed/cried that my plane was flying away in eight hours and that I had the class edge to tarp-crush if I could be bothered.

The APAT crew are arriving in dribs & drabs, saw Dan Owston, the Scouse chap ("whoop whoop"), and Andrew T, who is staying at Mirage, too.

I think Chomps has gone home though, I'll genuinely miss him, even though we did not live in each others pockets, not sure if Donks & Gav are still here.

I have befriended a Canadian dude with a cowboy hat, we had a lot of fun at the Omaha cash Tables. He suggested we play some Heads Up Omaha together. That could end up in skintitude for me, I fancy, I'm a bit past the age for cock-swinging. The challenge was to both sit down with $2,500, & I politely declined, a mixture of commonsense, & fear, I guess. Told him I'd happily play 6-handed with $2,500 each, but I'd so get run over if we played HU.

I think the best fun I've had this trip has been the Omaha Cash Games, where I'm nicely in profit, but most importantly, had such great fun. Sit there nice & quietly, with a fresh Starbucks, & my i-pad, so relaxing. I don't play many hands, very selective as to starting hands, & position helps, as they bluff such a lot, & I can catch a few.

Canadian Cowboy Hat Dude flopped a set of Kings, & gave me a free card, I turned a set of Aces.....gotta love free cards in Omaha, eh?

nope

went back same day as chomps.... had a good trip ... min cash american flags ftw and did our stones on the tables and loved every minute despite Gav's tears.... PS secretly upset you swerved my dinner invitation Boss Smiley

Villain #1 should have been able to find a fold there really playing 150BB's deep IMO.

I'm proud of you for trying that dish from Asia Noodles, I'm salivating here thinking about it, but why on earth did you inhale the pak choi?

Get well soon, there's nothing worse than being ill in Vegas.

xx

He dwelt for an absolute age, & even said "you must both have 6-7". Good read, Sir. Eventually he said "oh well, I may get lucky". And so he called, or, as the kids say, "sigh-called".

Noodle Asia? I half fancy trying "Minced beef with eggs sunny side up", but I'm scared they will pollute it with green stuff, or onions, or somesuch.

Yes, being sick in Vegas is not so good, but nature is clever, as I went to bed & slept solid for nearly 24 hours, so not so bad really. I still feel unwell, very odd in fact, my head is all over the place, and I'm not sure if I dare venture out today.

I found a lovely 24 hour pharmacy, though (thanks to Dom), smack next door to the Venetian, sell all sorts in there, so I dosed up on the American version of Night Nurse & a few other potions. Kill or cure, sort of thing. Hope I'm better before I travel home, 10 hours on a 'plane feeling like this does not sound like fun.

Obviously need to eat some fruit and veg, then you'll be fine.

You'll not get your second telegram from the queen if you don't!

Veg? Never!

We don't NEED Veg to stay healthy.

On a different note, how incredible is this:

New metal - which is 99.9 percent air - is so light that it can sit atop dandelion fluff without damaging it.

Maybe they got the idea from Ratner and the gold on his jewellery?

Great find, Ryan, how did you come across that - not exactly your scene?

Sadly, it kept freezing @ 2.51.

Wonderfully evocative.

RT's. (The London Buses that preceded, & were much better than, RM's).

Ford Prefects - my first car!

Hand-hauled electric dustcarts.

Woolworths.

The classic London Ambulance.

Armstrong Siddeleys.
