For those of you not quite so up on BMX stuff as me, this is the old 720 double tailwhip. Very rare, this.

Bit of a ledge, is Dan.
Great skills, what else did you teach him?
I like this, but I'm sure all the kids are doing this now in 2012.

Fantastic, Aaron!
Quite an array of punnage there, too.
Jeff will enjoy that. Hopefully, our daily Lin update is due shortly.

Yes, Mr YC, but at least we never had to resort to soft porn.
How was the flight to LA, how is the hotel, when does the Tourney begin, what is the cash action like, who else (from home) is there? Is Flushy & Co there, too?
Daily reports please, & here.
Temporarily, I will grant you "Poker Corry" rights.

I just noticed Erik Compton is on the US tour leader board at the mo Tony. A small write up on Wiki, but a great story.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_Compton
A right tear jerker, Phil! He seems to have dropped off the pace a little (7 shots behind Phil), but I'll watch out for the lad.
He has had THREE hearts, & is only in his early thirties, good grief.
If I recall correctly, one kid, may have been him, had a dispute with the PGA some years back about the need/right to use a golf buggy on the Golf Course for health reasons, & it was turned down on the grounds that a golf buggy gave a player an advantage. Perhaps it was a different chap, but common-sense so rarely prevails in these things.

Well if you wrote that, Jeff, you should pack up poker & go back to journalism, it was a beautifully balanced & paced little piece, well presented, very professional, & I mean that. The gift of writing well should not be underestimated.
Anyone suggesting Jeff should give up poker and return to journalism must think he either a) really loves journalism or b) really hates money
Oh and +1 on the well written.
Ha, I took it as a rub to my abilities at da pokerz....tyty for the compliments, always available for further gainful employment should your fine mags require my service
Send me a PM with your email and let's have a chat.
There you go, combined Diary & Recruitment Agency.
Alun, what is the current market for poker print magazines? Almost nobody ever pays for them, or so it seems, so they must be mostly funded by advertising revenue, which I would have assumed is falling stone style. Do they have much of a future in the internet age? Does the Online version make decent money?
I do wonder how many "strategy articles" & big name Profiles mags & sites can keep regurgitating, they must all have gone round the block a few times now.

http://pokerfuse.com/news/poker-room-news/ipoker-considers-dividing-two-separate-poker-network/
Just seen this on Barry Carters f/b
Wow, a new twist on "divide & rule".
Wonder what Mr Channing thinks of that? He is part of Boyles, I think, & their name was not mentioned.
I can't quite see what the angle is.
Really? It's pretty obvious. The sportsbooks are fed up of their 'recreational' players losing money to smaller pure poker sites. It's long been an issue for them. One sportsbook poker room manager once told me 'the trouble is our guys are rubbish at poker and keep losing all their money'
Ahh yes, of course - I was told that very story only weeks ago by someone who was in that very position with a major room, all the money was being sucked off the site, instead of migrating cross-platform to the sports books. In fact, sportsbook winnings were heading first to poker, & then off the site completely. Makes perfect sense now. It is fiddling at the edges of the problem though, it is not addressing the decline in the Online Poker market generally, which Neil Channing said last week was 28%, y-o-y.
I just saw this from the Ladbrokes Analysts meeting, too.....
Mobile bingo and poker apps are also due out in H1,
Everyone will have one soon, I guess. Next door's offering is also fairly imminent.
If only they had listened a little more carefully back in the day ;o)
Everything happens for a reason, Phil. I bet you are a million times happier doing your current job than you could ever have been there. Not a bad job, either, watching golf for a living.......

No idea why you posted this but that is incred skills.
Think he's took to just copying other diaries in order to compete, I put it up 24hours previously.
Sorry about that, Ray, but I only copy from the best diaries......
I was up to date on your Diary up to where you had booked your flights & train journey to Edinburgh, but missed the BMX thing. Incidentally, for a flight landing in Newcastle @ 2.30, to then go catch the 3.30 train is cutting it a bit fine, don't you think?

Sportswear supplier & official England Football kit sponsor "UMBRO" have introduced a new England football kit for the Euros, after just 8 games with the previous kit.
The shirt costs £49.99 (but a mere £39.99 for childrens sizes) for the short-sleeved version, £5 extra for long sleeves, & the shorts are a bargain £27.99. Socks are £10.99. Best part of a ton, then.
The FA defended the cost, "all the profits go back into football".
The case rests.
