Did you see my post a couple of days ago about the St Pancras hotel?

You simply MUST stay there.

I'm a palestine about these things and even I was impressed by the building.

 Cheesy

Love the homage to Big Laz and really hope it was unintentional although I doubt it.

Doubt it was unintentional as well - but like you say, loved it.

google have one of those "celebration" things on their home page today, celebrating the birthday of the late Keith Haring.

https://www.google.co.uk/

Natural curiosity, & a desire to learn, means we inevitably click these things to learn something, especially if we have never heard of the subject.

To save you the wasted time, I can reveal that there is no point clicking the link - Keith was an artist.

Sometimes, it depends on what's being clicked, and who's doing the clicking.

Tom, you are getting confused, one is photography, the other is art.

The Senna film - yes yes yes!

Apart from everyone on here, I have been pressed by many others who read this thread - some not even members - to go see the film, & it was suggested that the film is not the usual sycophantic mush, & is mainly genuine archive footage, so I concede, & I'll try & go see it. James Hartigan, something of a film geek, eulogised about it, too, & not much impresses him.

Is it on Sky Movies, or will I have to go to a picture house? How exciting, going to the pictures!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Senna-DVD-Ayrton/dp/B004PYD770/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336121365&sr=8-1

Pop it into a DVD player.

It was definitely on not too long ago, but not sure if it's still running.  If it's not on the regular schedule, it may be on Sky any time.

To me F1 is one of THE most boring sports on the planet.  I'd even watch cricket ahead of F1 if forced to choose.

When Jack wanted to watch the Senna film, I groaned but agreed.  I was glued to it by the end.  For you it'll be filled with memory lane stuff and I'm glad you've decided to give it a go.

Warning- it is sycophantic mush though. It reminded me of one of those celebrity autobiographies where they make the subject out to be a wonderful person and don't talk about anything negative about them, except for that terrible thing that they did that everybody knows about so they have to talk about it, but that turns out to be no big deal, and not actually their fault after all.

Very enjoyable for all of the archive footage though.

Am I being levelled there? Seriously?

Honestly, I'm not going to waste 2 hours of my life if it is the usual sycho tosh.

Thanks, ditto Bob & Dawn.

Assuming Skippy was lifting my leg, I'll watch it on Monday.
