Or a little plane?

You are allowed to take a day off Tony to recharge the batteries, and you're also permitted to eat a balanced meal once in a while too.

Why not just play a little cash at The V one day especially after playing that bracelet event yesterday and the inevitable deflation. Go and eat that roast duck and pork with rice meal at Asia Noodles which you told me you enjoyed last year. It's a balanced and nutritious meal and if you observe the relative figures of the "diners" in the food-courts with those at AN it's easy to see which is the healthier diet.

Loving the updates and terribly jealous...

I'll make him eat a sensible dinner on Sunday when we are both dominating the O8 tournament at Binions.... Either that or take him over to Glitter Gulch  thumbs up

What is the buy in for the O8 comp at Binions?

Sorry for the delay, was getting juiced up at hospital when I posted and went straight into Ascot mode when I got home Smiley

It's a $200 buyin, 20k chips and 40 minute clock.

Glitter Gulch is like a Tesco value strip club on Fremont St...

As for a small plane crash, it might be the lie down I needed after just reading about Erdös–Diophantine graphs in Euclidean geometry.

Glitter Gulch would be fun, but purely to see Tikay's face when you rolled in there, and definitely not a club of choice for patrons of those establishments.

The O8 tournament on the other hand will definitely be fun, firstly because I've never played a live O8 comp before and secondly because they're always full of characters.

It sounds like a very un-Tal kind of place. The lure of the open-minded lady bar has yet to compel me.

Might play some 08 cash in the week somewhere to see if I'm ready for the comp. Like you, I've only ever played it online

That one has failed to compel me too, but I'm always willing to take a look...

$200 for a comp is probably cheaper than a cash game for me, and I only need to pop across the street to play.

It will come as no surprise to those who follow TfT that I like to talk about sports. Vegas is quite a good place to be if you like to talk about sports.

Have you ever tried to explain to an American the concept of the show Soccer Saturday?

"So these guys watch the games but you don't get to see what's happening?!"

"Exactly"

"And people watch this?!"

"It's a very popular show. Been going for ten, fifteen years"

"The British have some weird habits"

Never really considered how absurd the show is.

I reckon a lot of members enjoy reading your hand history. Really captures an authentic live poker experience at a level everybody understands. Really only a small % of people want to see long mathmatical tables and equations where ranges have been inputted and results have been stoved or wizzed or whatever. "The result is proof I had a 2.75% edge and hence my shove was justifiable oop in a tough spot". Nah, people want to hear about real emotions and how you tilted Mike the Mouth with personal questions. It's like Vicky Coren commentating, catering to the masses not the elite.

I think it's absurd every time I see it.  Especially when Paul Merson is pretending to be an insightful pundit.

Spotted Vinni in Caesars Palace yesterday.

I can't see the likeness, but Chompy suggested that this bloke was a dead ringer for Vinni.

My hat has aroused more than a little comment, as to how cool I look. It is being described as a crucial hat.

The thing is, you need the body, the looks, the charisma, the gravitas, the sheer force of personality to be able to pull it off.

On the wrong person, it just makes them look plain daft.

See what I mean?
