Time has beaten me again, & I have lots more to Post including a reply to Gatso (
dt
d
Cash-Game Protocol), & to comment/reply on the Absolute Poker replies.
But I'm off to
dt
d
, for the £100, & as I have a very early start on Monday,
there'll be no Cash-Game when I bust out
, so I may be back home quite early. Not TOO early, I hope.
anyone wanna lay me odds on that one?

This week.
Monday, up early, due in Chiswick (West London) for a 12.15 meet. Not decided whether to go by car or train yet.
All being well, up to Walsall on Monday night for the £200, maybe meet up with Maria somewhere & go across together.
Tuesday - hope to return for Day Two at Walsall (one lives in hope....) but either way, I head South to Feltham on Tuesday night, as I'm due in the Studio at the ungodly hour of 10am on Wednesday for an all day-er. May then return to Walsall on Wednesday night, for the oh-so-rare chance of playing an Omaha Comp. But if common-sense prevails - eh? - I'll miss Walsall on Wednesday evening, as I'm back at Feltham on Thursday, for the Show, so really I oughta stay over in London on Wednesday evening. If I had any sense, that is.
No plans for Friday - I'll likely head home after Thursday's Show - then back to Feltham on Saturday, to do the Show again. Sunday night, either Walsall, for the end-of Fessie Jobbie, or the DTD £100-er.
Just about the perfect week, some poker, some nice work, & I'm freerolling.
I've had three consecutive early (pre-midnight) nights, & I feel totally refreshed, as bright as a button, & even a little frisky. There is definitely some sort of correlation between tiredness & lack of sleep, I cannot be convinced otherwise.

i cant believe all the talk of this party and not one of you mentions the sterling effort a Mr. J. Vegas was making to show the world why all of us folk from the North West of England are such a friendly and likeable bunch
Well, I have a selective memory, & it deletes stuff I'd rather not remember, but yes, I should have mentioned him.
Mr "Johnny Vegas" (the mere name causes me to retch) was engaged as pseudo-doorman & brochure-hander-outer, a role perhaps a tad above his station in life, & it would be very rude of me (as I was a Guest of Mr Hearn) to give my real opinion of his behaviour & demeaneur, which may have been alcohol-induced, or perhaps just part of his "act". But to be honest, I don't quite see where he fitted into the grand scheme of things, & having someone utter non-stop profanities at one & all, is a trick the purpose of which defeats me. I guess as one gets older, the novelty of swearing for the sake of it - as a comedic routine, & that was the totality of the "comedy" - wears off a little. I'm sure he thinks as much of me as I think of him. At a push, the pair of us will get along quite nicely if, perchance, our paths don't cross again.
I caught a bit of a Chubby Brown DVD trailer the other night. A bunch of his fans got to meet him backstage, & he said "FUCK YOU ALL!" - that was it, no more, no less - & they all laughed heartily. We pays our money, & we takes our choice. But I, as usual, got lucky - Mr Vegas swore at me for free.
He once did a show in Sheffield and half way thru got heckled by some drunk in the crowd, he then said 'balls to this, you are not enjoying it, I'm not enjoying this, why don't we go over the road for a pint and took the crowd of about 50 to the pub.
When he was working the comedy circuit he used to end his routine by making a tea pot on a pottery machine(?) and selling it to someone in the crowd but you are right, his routine was he acted drunk and swore alot. Sounds like he was doing the same routine at the party.

Meanwhile a plane load of City scribblers were taken on a trip to see a London quoted Israeli company GEO Interactive, a real darling stock
One scribbler missed the plane and got the next one..got into a taxi and headed for the registered office he found the address of in the annual report
He arrived, to find a brass plate on a derelict building
Asking around he popped into the cafe across the road to be told
I paraphrase
" LOL Madeupcompanyaments and you mugs value it at £1.5bn"
by the end of the night the shares had lost 90% of their value.
My very first investment was in GEO (later changed to Emblaze systems) made something like 12x my investment, happy days! Would be interested to hear more about it as i just did it on my fathers advice back then so if you could give a more detailed version of events Rich i would be most grateful.
If you already have then sorry i have not caught up with this thread yet!
You read THIS Thread? Hmm.....
I PM'd Flushy today,
"How are you Body Beautiful?" (or words to that effect), "broke many legs while you were ski--ing?".
"Nope, none at all, though God knows how".
Hard to imagine him hurtling downhill at 50mph towards you, ski's groaning under the load, "getoutofthewayaments".
Only thread i do read!
Oh and i go with "moveordieaments"

It's Glasgow's fault
- Vegas was a student up here & was introduced to competitive style drinking and the delights of Jen's favorite tipple, Buckfast.

We spoke this morning. Him, me and his sat nav, 3 way mobile phone convo!!
he was definitely on a roundabout on the way to Chiswick, taking the fourth exit and then turning right after 150 yards.

He made it, and looked dapper enough to impress the numerous 'suits' present. Until mid way through the Egg Benedict that is, when he started talking about half price colonic irrigation....

I believe greatly in word association - if he's thinking about colonics he was probably looking at some arses - which a lot of
men
people in suits are....imho

I'll reply to you cheeky gits later. I need to get to London, before the traffic builds up, I'm staying overnight so I can get to the Studio for 10am Wednesday, & I have to pop into the office this afternoon too.
I'll be at my Hotel about 4 or 5, & I'll do Tourney Report from the Walsall £200 last night - a right grand do, it was.
